- Garage kept
- Small Block V8 (previous owner told me it was a 350 that had been rebuilt)
- 2-Speed Powerglide transmission
- 4-wheel manual drum brakes
- Manual steering
- Was originally a 6-cylinder car (now a V8)
- Paint Code 62 – Burnt Orange
- Top was originally painted white, Paint Code 11 – Antique White
- Previous Owner said he had the car repainted in the original color because he didn’t like the white top
- The repaint is actually pretty nice but it is not a show car
- Original orange paint on door jams, inside trunk, etc.
- Edelbrock carb
- Edelbrock aluminum intake
- ACCEL HEI Distributor
- Has some chrome dress-up items in the engine compartment
- Hedman headers
- Flowmaster mufflers
- The 3 auxiliary gauges under the dash do not appear to work (I am not sure if they are even hooked up)
- The Autometer tach seems to work
- Dual exhaust with dumps at rear axle (sounds great)
- New battery
- Weld wheels
- Tires have plenty of tread but are old and should be replaced
- Interior color is Sandalwood
- Interior is in good condition but has some discoloration (see photos)
- Vinyl floor mat
- Previous owner added some SS trim pieces; obviously it is NOT an original SS car
- The car looks pretty solid to me although the original paint in the door jams seems to have some surface rust here and there
- Plastic filler between grill and bumper is cracked
- Novas like this are getting really hard to find in this kind of condition; someone will have a lot of fun with this car
- Lots of opportunities here
- LS Swap
- Big Block Swap
- Drive and enjoy while you modify
- I have a couple of old photos of the car before it was painted; please message me if you would like to see them
This car is almost exactly the way it was when I purchased it. I have too many cars and I just never got to this one. I only drove it a handful of times when I first got it and since then it has been sitting for years in a heated storage building. I put a new battery in it and the car fired right up and it runs well once it warms up a bit. I drove it across town to my shop with no problem. I did notice that the drum brakes pull a bit and will likely need to be adjusted (or better yet swapped to discs). The car has been sitting a long time and should be thoroughly checked out before being driven any distance. I have too many cars so am “thinning the heard” and this one is available.
