For sale here I have my very unique and fairly solid 1951 Chevrolet 3600 3/4 ton pickup truck that has been a welding rig since very early in it's life. The truck has a clear Ks title that matches the plate inside the drivers door. The frame was stretched behind the cab around 12 inches to extend the wheelbase of the truck for the bed. The work to the frame has held up to hauling a large load in the bed as well as pulling trailers behind the truck for decades but it probably wouldn't hurt to box the inside of the frame. This truck was used as a welders primary work truck until 1993. He was tired of the truck not keeping up with traffic and wearing out 6 cylinder engines. The engine in the truck currently is a 1955-1960 235 based on the head number and it turns over by hand but I haven't messed with getting it running. The oil on the dipstick looks very thick and I would probably look into the engine before trying to fire it. Note the custom old hubcap air cleaner. The brakes need work from sitting. The body on the truck is quite solid for a truck that was on the road year round for more than 40 years. There's a little rust in the kick panels, inside door bottoms, and cab corners. The dash has been cut for a newer Ford radio and I believe the ignition is Ford as well. The bed is thick steel and if it has any rust through it would be a small amount in the floors of the compartments. The wheel wells of the bed were enlarged for tire clearance when pulling a load. There is a shallow dent in the bed in front of the wheel opening on the PS. The roof of the bed retracts up to 50 percent to allow a person to stand up in it. All of the welding equipment in the side of the bed and seat was in the truck when I bought it. All of the glass in the truck is usable if you're going to run the truck as a patina machine but some of it is old and weathered. The seat is soft and could be used as well. The truck has a heavy accessory front grille guard, killer RE-TRAC Manufacturing west coast mirrors and a 1950s El Toro bull hood ornament that originally had horns, eyes and nostrils that lit up. Overall this is just a very unique and cool work truck that has some bumps and bruises from 42 years of use. It would make a killer shop truck, service truck, welding truck or car show stopper. I'd love to see truck left as is with a modern drivetrain and air ride. The truck is selling as is with NO RESERVE. Shipping will be the buyers responsibility but I can assist in getting quotes and loading. All serious buyers are welcome.
