V8 LT Auto Custom Chopped Hot Rod Classic Vintage Collector Shaved B&M Holley Mu
1933 Chevrolet Other 5 Window Coupe Description
This 1933 Chevrolet Master 5 Window Coupe is a long-term passion project that turned a steel-bodied classic coupe into a chopped, LT1 V8-powered street machine. So it's worth digging into all the details, because this is the kind of car that will show you something new every time you look at it.
This one gets it right from the first impression. After all, a proper hot rod means expertly chopping inches out of the roof and giving it an intimidating stance including the big rear tires. But there's also much more going on here. It took almost a decade to go from classic Chevy steel body to this street machine you see here today. The look is absolutely sleek, and it's from paying attention to the details. For example, the doors have shaved handles and hidden hinges. The three-piece hood is a custom design with the venting subtly recessed. And the rear has its license plate and all lights frenched. It's such a smooth overall look, it's the kind of 1930s machine that could cheat the wind. And this one look like an ultra-hot breeze wherever it goes. The paint you can't take your eyes off of is a special formula that was named Hot Red, and its secret recipe even comes with the car. And of course, you instantly take note of the white-hot flames that start at the outreaching fenders and scorch the profile. A full custom machine like this doesn't need much brightwork, and so that's why items like the classic outlaw-style wheel are such standouts even on a bold coupe like this.
Pop the remote door openers, and you get to see even more custom treats. With an exterior this bold, we're glad to see it continues to have such a vibrant look inside with the bright red with black accents. The seats are well-bolster modern units finished in the upgraded two-tone, and this coordinates with the door panels, dash, headliner, and carpeting for a full uniform look you get on the best customs. This has a ton of well-integrated modern features, like power windows, power locks, an alarm, power antenna, and an AM/FM/CD stereo. The Grant sports steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column, and it gives you a clear view of the crisp iEquus gauge package.
Part of this long-term build involved building a strong heart. The consignor states this is a 350 cubic-inch LT1 V8 that has been bored .030 over. It has been enhanced further with high-flow LT1 heads, hydraulic cam, Holley Street Avenger 670 carburetor, and Weiand Stealth intake. This upgraded V8 feeds a rebuilt TH350 three-speed automatic transmission that now features a B&M street/strip shift kit. While this is a powerful package, it was also built to be a driver. That means front disc brakes and rack & pinion power steering. The suspension is a Mustang II-style tubular control arm setup up front and a triangulate four-link in the rear. And it all is attached to a strong boxed frame chassis.
You can instantly see there was a ton of time, thoughtfulness, and money put into this custom coupe. There's so much work that we just didn't have the room to list it all. So give us a call, and we'll be happy to break down the full details of this awesome Chevy hot rod. Call today!!!
