1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 90687 Miles Black Coupe V8 4-Speed Manual
1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Description
Introduced in 1963, the all new Corvette Stingray was Chevrolet's halo model, with dramatic styling, powerful engines, and the latest and greatest in GMs technological breakthroughs. Sold until 1967, the Stingray featured a number of changes and improvements over the years and just 117,964 examples were sold. They are some of the most well regarded and collectable of all American cars and are a solid investment piece. 1966 brought a number of small changes, such as a new egg crate grill, new badging, and revised interior options.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this very nice, solid, survivor car that remains highly untouched and original. The car has been owned by the same owner since 1974 and has been in his care ever since. It was repainted in 1974 in its factory 9008A Tuxedo Black over a red interior. Tuxedo Black was the lowest production color. The car is powered by its numbers matching 327 v8 paired with its manual transmission. The car runs and handles very well. It is dressed as a 350 horse car but is actually a 300 horse. The owner states that roughly 10,000 miles ago all new brakes were installed and was also given a new headliner. When we had the car in the air, we noticed that it still has the original canister style oil filter, which most guys switch out with an adapter to the modern style. The car rides on new redline tires as well. This is a very nice, dialed in, driver, and would make an excellent addition to any collection.
