Mid-Year Corvette’s tend to attract a lot of attention when they’re out on the road. The ’65 model year was a milestone for Corvette for a number of reasons. It was the first year for standard 4-wheel disc brakes, the last year for mechanical fuel injection and the introduction of the Mk IV 396ci big block engine! The legend of the big block production Corvette started right here in ’65! And the one year only 396 was offered only in a “wild” solid lifter version.
Striking would be a word that comes to mind upon viewing this #’s matching ’65 in person. Beautiful, dazzling and graceful would be a few others. The car has been beautifully and correctly frame-off restored and is optioned with power windows, am/fm radio and knock off wheels with Gold line radial tires.
