1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Description

1956 Chevy 210 4 door Street/Strip Resto Mod. In Shell Rock, Ia

383 Stroker High Nickel Block (392 CI). 420HP and 490TQ with dyno sheets and build receipts. You won’t believe the torque curve on this motor…. Built locally by a currently open speed shop. The engine has around 2,000 miles.

This car was bought as a stock 6 cylinder 3 speed. I pulled the engine and tranny and complete drivetrain and replaced it with the SBC, Turbo400 and Freakshow Torque Convertor, and Hurst Quarter Stick shifter. Custom built driveshaft and completely rebuilt GM 10 bolt with Strange parts, 33 spline axles, new 4:10 gears and a spool. Big bearing kit with C-clip eliminators. Calvert Racing suspension set up complete with adjustable shocks, mono leafs, and adjustable Cal tracs traction bars . 90/10 shocks up front with new tubular upper and lower control arms and drop spindles with disc brakes. New power brake set up for disc up front. Has complete brand new rear drum brakes. Has full gauges other than speedo. Needs an adapter from the cable to the th400 tranny. Or you can just use your phone or a $20 gps speedo from ama zon.

Holley red fuel pump with braided stainless lines with 6 AN fittings throughout. QFT Fuel regulator. Tranny lines also braided with AN fittings. Holley QFT 750 carb with lokar throttle plate and pedal. Stahl Ceramic Coated headers. Borla XR-1 mufflers with electric (remote control) full exhaust cut outs. MSD inginition. Has an 18 gallon fuel cell and sealed battery box.

Complete new painless wiring harness. This replaces all wiring in the car with new wires and fuse panel. All lights blinkers etc work.

The car was mini tubbed in order to fit the new Weld Racing Pro Star 2 piece drag wheels and the New Drag radials in the rear and white wall high speed radials up front.

The interior has BMW 7 series leather front and rear. Front buckets are 9 way power seats and the console is also from the BMW. 5 seat belts are brand new. The floor is very solid with a few patch panels put in where needed. They were the only really thin area as far as rust goes. The only rust on this car is from moisture while in storage. i bought it directly from Oklahoma. There is some typical areas like the headlight buckets and rockers near the rear of the back doors, that could use repairing if you wanted, but definitely not needed. I bought the car as a natural patina car and kept it that way. This car turns heads as is! Everything else is surface rust on the frame etc. The frame is very very solid. The car was meant to look as it is with the natural patina. I wasn’t looking for a shiny show car, but a fast hot rod that is designed to work very well at the track, as well as the street. I haven’t taken it to the track, but it should run 12’s. I had a friend of mine that races a sub 9 second car that helped me build this. He wouldn’t let me take any short cuts. The battery is in the rear and can have a remote shutoff put out of the trunk very easily if you decided to race it. It also has the fuel cell in the trunk. Built to NHRA safety specs. The floor has complete sound deadening mats in the cab and the trunk. The cab also has insulation on top of the mat.

You would not be able to build this car for what i am asking. I am setting a reserve lower than the asking price however once this is met, the buy it now price will go away and you will be bidding against another buyer.

I’m sure I’m forgetting a bunch of stuff. I have a ton of money spent in this car….not to mention the time. This car is an absolute blast to drive on the streets!! It goes very straight down the road. No power steering, but you can let go of the wheel at 60 and it’s straight as an arrow. Decided to move on to another project that my son and I are working on now. Please call or text me any time at 319231897four. I'll try and share a link to a video with the exhaust cutouts open.
