1965 Chevrolet C-10 Description
Selling my 1965 Chevy C10 Short Bed. South Carolina truck that I bought from a man who built it to tow his Harley/trailer back and forth to Florida. 5 years ago he had a rebuilt 350 (out of a 75 chevy truck?) and 3 spd automaticwith small shift kit and all new items-water pump, carb, alternator, motor mounts, headers etc. Also done,PS and front suspension rebuild - so handles smooth and tight - easy to drive at highway speeds. PB system was also completely new with lines, booster etc and a front disc conversion(slight pulse with stop).
Starts and runs great! I have put almost $3 thousand in myself(in addition to buying the truck) with New Tires, battery, starter, refurbished gas tank with new sending unit. New front and rear windshield with New gaskets - the front and rear metal frames needed zero repair- the upper drip rail is shown in incredible condition. New seat belts. Gas gauge, oil and water temp spot on, odometer and speedo in-op cable in place so?? I had header and collector gaskets replaced-so no exhaust leaks, does sound nice.
There are two items to note--PS pump will need o-ring as it does leak (I did have it scheduled for rebuild--the repair shop is now closed til May, so will not be done before sale, estimate was $160) and when the previous owner moved to Florida he took off the South Carolina mandatory tow marker lights from the truck and since then, no signal or brake lights, so I have been using hand signals. It does show twist caps on rear wiring so?? Headlights, interior and park lights work as well as wipers.
I took truck to my body shop and they suggested new doors, front fenders and hood would be more cost effective then repairing and quoted me $2k for that including a nice paint job--with that said-- I would not do any of that as I love the truck as is and keep it in my garage that you see in pics.
Free and clear Florida title in my name. licensed and insured for $16,5k and driven dailywith currently keeping an eye on PS fluid level. I love my truck, but cash is needed. There is a non refundable paypal deposit at end of auction and payment is to be complete in 7 days and pick up in 10 days of end of auction. All communication to bedone througheBay. I will assist to load with your shipper. Front license plate will go with the truck.
