1958 Chevrolet Corvette Description

FOR SALE: A UNRESTORED 58 FUELY! RARE RARE RARE!!!! 1958 Corvette Project, needing a Complete & Full RESTORATION. This very RARE 1958 Corvette was ORIGINALLY a Factory GM FUEL INJECTION Corvette. No Motor, No Manual Transmission, No Fuel Injection. NO Factory Trunk Spears, No Radiator. ODO shows 47,850. maybe actual, maybe not.?? But the car was Drag Raced for a number of years. Frame is very solid with no real (just some surface) rust. The X Member holes where the exhaust was suppost to go through. As the car was 'DRAG RACED" the lower area of that/those factory hole/holes were cut out for exhaust clearance. The car is now yellow was originally white, Interior is Black NOW, was originally Red. This is a FACTORY HARDTOP ONLY Corvette, "never" had a Soft top from the FACTORY. (HARD TOP ONLY! ) Car is mostly complete, still has its very rare ORIGINAL 1958 only WAFFLE BOARD Hood and original V.I.N. TAG! This car has been sitting mostly inside since the late 70's early 80,s. The story on this car is the previous owner (bought the 58 FI Corvette in 1972) Drag Raced it a lot at P.I.R. (Portland International Raceway WON A lot of Trophies) Anyway on one friday night he was at his ex-high school Football Game and was "SHOWING OFF" doing Burn Outs. Well it was said that he LOST CONTROL of it and drove it OFF THE ROAD and into some bigger rocks on the side of the road.. He drug it home the next day and parked it in his barn, sat there for the next 30-40 years, over the years he sold off the engine/trans/fuel injection unit/parts & truck irons. The long term owner PASSES away and I bought this 1958 Corvette from his sister (She said he had two 58s!.) Main impact damage was directly onto the Right Door Window Post/glass/internals. It messed up the inner door window supports pretty good so I replace the Right Door assembly (see picks, also come with the right damaged yellow door pictured also). Rock impact caused crack to right rear 1/4 panel and also punched a smaller round hole a little further forward (also pictured). There is some fiberglass damage to what I would call the "dash dog legs" Right one got damaged from when the right door post was hit. The left one has some same type damage (but less) From the Driver bounced off that area because of No SEAT BELT. Right rear frame rail has a dented area from a rock imact. Doors open and close as they should, I oiled cleaned and lubed all door internals, windows roll up and down nice. This is a VERY RARE 1958 Factory F.I. Corvette, we were going to restore this back to NCRS specs. but due to unforseen health issues, I will not be able to take this car where it needs to be, I have a clean and clear Oregon Title in my companies name (mlcorvettes) SOLD AS-IS NEEDING A COMPLETE RESTORATION! Has all FI mounting points that Only Fuel Injection cars had. Should be fairly easy to make this a matching numbered Corvette as GM did not tie the V.I.N. to the engine in 1958 and earlier cars. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL real FI Corvette, these will ALWAYS be worth MORE $$$ when done, Just because its a RARE 1958 FI Corvette ONLY 1026 FI Corvettes were made in 1958!!!
