1968 Chevrolet Corvette - The Most American Car You Can Buy:
Our story: My husband and I purchased this car on June 14, 2015 when this American classic joined our family collection ofbeloved classics including the 1964 Ford Falcon, 1964 Pontiac GTO, and our 1966 Chevy II. All of our cars were meticulousy maintained by my husband who, from the time he began to drive at age 16, owned over 100 classic cars. This car was never outside in the elements but to attend a few local car shows. The wax-on-wax-off method was always followed and my husband never washed this car with any kinds of soaps or detergents. It was always in a climate controlled storage unit during the winter months and garaged at our home in the spring and summer. As seen in the photos, this car was loved and is a stunning car.
This beauty was originally placed in service on March 14, 1968. Originally, this car was a Tri-power 400 HP/AC car from the factory. The car was restored in 2004-2008. The previous owner put a 402 w/240 HP factory engine in the car. You could put a 427 engine back in this car.1" photo album of complete documented frame off restoration comes with the car including the receipts, tank sticker and protect-o-plate, manual transmission, original color Silverstone Silver (Paint Code 986) PS, power disc brakes, power windows, Original Delco radio, telescopic wheel, rare transistorized ignition, ignition shielding, factory correct engine bay, new factory correct exhaust, new gas tank & lines, all new brakes & lines, all new suspension, new starter & fuel pump, headlight actuators, new redline tires, new brakes, rotors, calipers & lines, new plug wires, belts & hoses, aluminum radiator, new battery, rebuilt differential & wheel assemblies, 1/2 shafts & universals, shocks, springs & exhaust, rebuilt carburetor.
