1984 Chevrolet K10 Silverado 4x4. Selling this truck for a friend of mine that has owned it for 20 years, 4th owner. The following is what has been done during the last 10,000 miles.
New GM crate 383 HT engine with MSD, Quadrajet 4bbl, P.S. P.B, headers leading to duel Flowmaster 40’s. Rebuilt and firm shifting 700R4 Trans with 90s model case and aftermarket adj vacuum switch for torque converter lock up.
Differentials converted to 3:73s (non Posi) with Yukon gears. Original 4x4 working auto locking hubs, frame has been reinforced around steering gear, high torque starter installed, BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A 35x12.50x15 tires in like new condition, 4” suspension lift kit.
Door trim panels dash and instrument plates are newer GM. New headliner, seat foam and custom made cover-very firm. Even seat belt buckles are new and boots are not split. All gauges work and has a correct period working tach with proper markings (last offered in 1981). GM compressor and AC components function as new.
1988 style steering wheel, line X spray in bed liner. Drives excellent without wandering, sounds great, has manual windows the work smoothly. Newer door weather-strips, Retro – sound radio with MP3 hook up.
This truck was sold new at Tim Timmers Chevrolet in Atlanta, original owners books warranty pamphlet, service records included.
Present owner met the original owner a few years ago and has the history.
Truck now has 211,000 miles and was painted 15 years ago and still is in great condition.
There are some rock chips in the lower panels, a rock chip in R rear bed side; some hail dents on the top, small scrape on the front bumper left corner.
All of these things are in the pictures, some are difficult to see (lift kit makes it impossible to see the small dents on the roof) this truck is 36 years old and has always been within 30 miles of its original selling dealer. The body lines are straight; the doors do not sag and shut well and has original body panels without any rust. If you wanted to take this truck to the next level it is an excellent vehicle to start with. You would be hard pressed to find one as nice as this with practically all GM parts.
Most all of the work that has been performed was done at a Chevrolet dealer where the current owner works except the transmission.
