1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible Restomod Description

Serious big block power, an upgraded suspension, and four-on-the floor make this 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible Restomod a great muscle machine. But when you also check out other great features - like the cool color combo and A/C interior - you'll soon discover this is an all-around stunner.

This was born a Bolero Red convertible, and today it certainly earns that vivid color. It was given a professional respray later in life as part of a comprehensive restoration. The modern clearcoat luster looks terrific in the daylight, and that's exactly how you want a sunshine-friendly convertible to be. The bright chrome bumpers and complete trim go nicely with the upgrades like polished exhaust tips and 15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels. And the white convertible top looks so crisp when this is in place that this one has the same all-American appeal as a Coca-Cola bottle. It even has some nice Super Sport tribute pieces, like the badging, rocker trim, grille, and dual power bulge hood. Of course, this one earns its SS attitude with its serious performance upgrades (more on that in a moment.)

As much as we like the way this looks with the roof in place, with the flip of a switch, it powers down to reveal an even more impressive interior. After all, there's just something quite appealing about a red-on-red convertible. Plus, according to the trim tag, it was born this way! The seats, door panels, carpeting, and dash all have the look of a proper investment. So there are plenty of family and friends who will always want to go for a ride. And you get to keep them all happy with upgrades, like the well-integrated AM/FM/cassette stereo and cold-blowing air conditioning. But it's fine going solo, too, because this was built around the driver. That's why you have a classic grippy steering wheel, upgraded auxiliary gauges, front bucket seats (rare power drivers seat), a center console with clock, and an upgraded Hurst shifter.

The engine bay has an ultra-tidy look that's ready to show off, and you'll certainly be lifting the hood where you park. After all, even the SS Chevelles topped out a 396 cubic-inches in 1967, but this one has been upgraded to a bigger big block with a 454 V8. And the upgrades don't stop there. It has go-fast goodies like a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a performance intake, and ceramic-coated Hooker headers that add power while adding to the rumble of the dual exhaust. Plus, you'll also sport the right supporting components, including a serpentine belt system, steel-braided hoses, and an aluminum radiator w/electric fan. The Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission gives you firm control over the big block power, and the 12-bolt Positraction rear end knows how to get the power to the ground. As you look at the undercarriage photos, they not only remind you of the quality investment in this restoration, but also you'll spot fresh upgrades like the tubular A-arm front suspension, upgraded rear arms, QA1 coilovers, urethane bushings, and sway bars front & rear. And it's all easy to enjoy it all out on the road with good driving features like power steering, wide Cooper Cobra tires, and upgraded four-wheel power disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors.

An awesome look, awesome upgrades, and awesome power all come together in one awesome package. So if you love a powerful classic convertible with all the best features, call today!
