The Vehicle Also originally came with rally Wheels which are no longer with it and an AM/FM radio which has been replaced with an aftermarket unit
The Vehicle shows approx 50/K miles on the Odometer, but I'm fairly certain that it has turned over and has more like 150/K. I base part of that on the repaint and the fact that it has a rebuilt Transmission and the Goodwrench 350 4/Bolt Engine which is probably a replacement Unit, as well as both the engine and trans being overly clean for a rig this old
The vehicle hadn't been driven for several years before I obtained it, so there are some minor things that should be addressed before sustained use. Drivetrain runs and works great. The Carburetor doesn't feel like the secondaries are operating. The Brakes will need some attention. I think the Calipers are hanging up a bit and will either need rebuilt or it might be possible that they'll get well with more use. It brakes, but gets a bit squirrelly on sudden stops. Vehicle steers and drives straight. No Smoke or significant leaks
The Oil Pressure gauge barely registers and after hooking up a mechanical test gauge, the engine was found to have normal or better Oil Pressure. Early 1980's Chevy Trucks had known issues with mismatched senders to the gauge pod.
A/C isn't working and not kicking in the compressor clutch. Probably low on Freon, as the clutch won't engage when they're low
Cruise Control Works
Cosmetically: EXTERIOR:
Has a budget (Maaco type)paint job, which is good driver quality
Paint Peelage on Roof
Paint color is fairly close to original and they painted the jambs too
Only significant corrosion problem was down low on the LF Fender which is common to these vehicles as it's directly under the battery tray
Any other blisters/bubbles or exposed corrosion is just surface stuff that's easy to deal with
Super Solid and Straight Body
EXCELLENT Tires and Tread. Tires are date coded between Sept 2014 and Dec 2016 and are 75% Tread or better.
INTERIOR:
Carpets appear to be original and in decent shape, with some rot and stretch damage at base area of engine doghouse cover (Common, as the heat gets to them as well as mechanics stretching them to remove the doghouse)Still presentable
Rear Side panels show some minor warpage
Velour Upholstery in very nice shape
Headliner Decent
Missing front overhead interior light lens
