1981 Chevrolet Corvette Description

Running and very road worthy 1981 Chevrolet Corvette, 5.7L V8 with 4 speed manual transmission, original numbers matching car all the way back. Engine runs strong and transmission shifts great. This car is sound mechanically, while cosmetically it could use some work (interior/paint). Mahogany metallic exterior paint color with cinnabar interior. Paint is original, cracking in areas and fading along rubber bumper covers. It is in need of a full repaint. Interior is original, seats cracking and carpets showing their wear. New fuel pump, master cylinder, calipers/pads all around, and remanufactured quadrajet carburetor. Rotors were not replaced since they are original to the car (riveted) but I was going to replace them until we decided to sell the car. Front end suspension could probably due for a refreshing with new bushings, tie rod ends and/or ball joints. New BF Goodrich Radial TA tires all around. Shop manual and car manuals along with the car. Overall a very honest late C3 in original condition that needs some cosmetic attention and minor updates.You could jump in this car and drive it tomorrow.
