1956 Chevrolet Nomad Description

Nice 56 Chevy 4 door station wagon. Make a great original patina build. Originally had an inline 6 but someone's already swapped with a small V-8 (I'm guessing a 283) and kept the 3 speed manual on the column. Dashboard shows 64K but I have no idea what this motor has on it as it was already in when I purchased. Runs and drives well but will need finishing work. Headliner is torn out and interior will need to be redone. Rusting in the headlight eyebrows as visible and hole in passenger side front floor. Also small hole at base of gas pedal. Rest of floor is solid as are all cross members. I have the missing rear tailgate latch handle but it is removed so I can try and get a key made. Radio is out but included, horn button is laying on seat, rear seats still have original plastic covers on them. Lights, flashers, etc. wiring needs work but a great complete car to start a resto-mod project with. Can be viewed in Onalaska, Wisconsin at my shop Gasoline Alley Toys & Antiques. Feel free to call or email any questions you may have. Buyer will pick up in person and pay cash. I can assist with shipping and car can be driven onto a hauler/trailer as I just had it out for about a 10 mile spin last night. Non-refundable $500 deposit due upon purchase, balance due in cash (in person) or bank cashiers check (in mail) within 7 days or deposit forfeited and car will be relisted. I can store the car for a short time until pickup or transport can be arranged but full payment must be received within 7 days.
