1969 Chevrolet K10 CST Description

This 1969 SWB K10 is 1 of 1649 built and restored here to a high factory standard with attention to detail on component build dates, fastener finishes and factory markings. It is presented in dark blue and optioned with bucket seats, tow hooks and tach.

This example originated from the St. Louis assembly plant in November of 1968. Care has been taken not only to replicate OE finishes and assembly guidelines for the model year, but also to replicate the factory markings specific to the St. Louis plant. Some components and decals that were not available were reproduced to a factory standard just for this build. Finished in CST trim, options include factory A/C, bucket seats, tow hooks, tachometer, power brakes, and power steering. Some period modifications were made for comfort and convenience utilizing OE components from the 1970 and 1971 model years (not available in 1969 on a K10). These include front disc brakes, TH350 transmission and NP205 transfer case, tilt column and AM/FM radio.

Found in Texas, this is a true KE SWB with matching VIN plates and frame rail stamp. The long block is a new GM crate 350, but the QuadraJet, intake manifold, power steering pump, A/C compressor and steering gear are all date code correct for this truck. Working directly with ACC carpets and utilizing an original 1969 example, the molded rear tank carpet was reproduced to a factory standard. The version previously available was not factory correct. Similarly the Frigidaire decal on the compressor was reproduced with the correct code and model number.

All components and subassemblies are either new or reconditioned to new. Engine bracketry, pulleys and tow hooks were powder coated and the exhaust manifolds were ceramic coated. The cab and frame were taken to bare metal and the cab placed on a rotisserie for metal repair and paint. All tire and jacking tools are in place along with the correct tool bag. Care was even taken to replicate the factory primer as it would appear on the underside of the cab and bed. A period dealer logo, shipping documents and window sticker were reproduced for novelty and display purposes and will be included. The dealer logo (shown on the driver's side cowl pic) is a magnet and is easily removed. All works as it should.

Only a very few trucks of this configuration were made and fewer still survive. This long and meticulous concourse style restoration was heavily documented and completed in December of last year.It has never been shown competitively and logged only shake down mileage. The odometer currently reads 20 miles since completion. The truck has a clean Georgia Title.
