1982 Chevrolet C-10 Short Bed Patina lowered dropped 20's retro rust classic rod
1982 Chevrolet C-10 Description
1982 Chevrolet C-10 Olde Blue........
We built Olde Blue to be simple, reliable, cool and fun....
Blue was a handyman truck for most of its life. We found and built Blue to what it is today.
Exterior:Some rust, you can see all rust on Blue. It's all sheet metal and adds to the character. We took the bed and panels off, power washed, blasted, removed all the crap, painted and reassembled.Lights and lenses are all new; front bumper, side marker, tail, blinker and head. All new emblems.
Paint is OG and showing some nice patina. The rust has been coated with rust stop.
All glass is good.
Washed, blasted and primed the bed.
New 20" Rocker wheels with custom offset. 1" lip in front 4" in rear. New tires.
Lowered with spindles and flip kit and shock relocators.
Interior:New seat and dash by Cibola Upholstery. New Digital gauges professionally installed. New Retro Sounds stereo w/bluetooth and all that jazz. New carpet kit. Bud Tap shifter. Custom suede shift boot with matching blue stitching. New door panels. Old Grant steering wheel.
Power Train:
350 and 4 speed manual donor from a small Chevy RV. Gone thru and cleaned up. Complete and total tune up; plugs, wires, distributor, cap, filter, oil, radiator, trans fluid. Custom hoses all around, new fuel lines, new battery, aluminum radiator overflow.
I originally planned to swap out the 350 for an LS but this runs so good and reliable we left it. Starts on first turn.
Built Blue for our family but recently found out we're having another baby so my loss your gain. This has been a family project and we've done 90% of this restoration ourselves. We had to tap out on the digital gauges and hire a professional. We built this for the fam and had no plan to sell until a few weeks ago.
This is not a perfect hot rod but a fun, reliable, simple and head turning cruiser. We put a ton of blood, sweat and tears on this build. Blue always get attention at the local car shows and on Route 66 during our Sunday cruises. Overall: We basically took the truck totally apart, cleaned, rebuilt or replaced any and everything that needed it.
Clear title in hand.
