1966 Chevrolet C-10 Description

No Reserve Clear Title
1966 Chevrolet C10 SWB Fleetside pickup
I bought this pickup a few years back with the intent to remove its six cylinder with 3 speed manual transmission and drop in a mild V8 with automatic transmission and to drive the wheels off of it.
It has been off of the road since 2016.
The previous owner stated that he was driving the truck until it became unreliable due to fuel and carburetor issues.Prior to my purchase he had replaced the brake master cylinder and a muffler shop installed a new stainless exhaust system. He cranked it up for me by pouring a little gas into the carb.
I removed the gas tank and had it flushed out, installed a new windshield and gasket and replaced the rusty old wheels with a nice set of Cragar chrome wheels.
The truck is nice and tight. The paint has a great shine and it has a nice curb appeal. The truck looks awesome in pictures but the paint/body is 10 or 20 foot driver quality. It has a minor door ding here and there but this is the kind of vehicle you proudly drive instead keeping hidden in a garage.
The truck could use a new reproduction floor mat or carpet. The door scuff plates need to be replaced. The driver's side window regulator needs to be replaced. If you roll the window up and close the door the window may drop a few inches. Reproduction regulators sell for around $70.00 shipped.
The truck's brake system needs to be bled or looked into. They were up when I bought it but they are no longer working. The battery will no longer hold a charge. That is probably because it is old. The plain vinyl bench seat is faded and has a few tears.
This truck is not road ready. It will crank, run and idle by pouring gas into the carb. I cranked it up again this afternoon just to be certain it still would run. I did not reconnect the fuel line to the fuel pump. It may run fine all day if the line is reconnected. It may need to have the carburetor rebuilt. This will be up to the new owner to decide whether to go with the six or install a small block.
