1966 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Description

A true muscle car with all thrills and none of the frills. Base model Bel Air post sedan with no options. Actually it was taken 1 step further- factory heater, wipers and radio delete! Badged as a 427 but it is a 496 stroker and a 5-speed! Body off frame, rotisserie restored to show quality condition.
EXTERIOR: The fit and finish is outstanding. The body is perfectly clean, straight from every angle. All the panels fit real nice and square. I believe they started with a clean body. The ermine white paint is polished to a very smooth, glossy finish. I don't see any bubbles, cracks, or issues. The door jambs are detailed, the pant is smooth and glossy even upfront by the hinges. The latches are detailed, weatherstrips, window seals and sill plates are new. All of the trim is excellent. Upfront the bumper is rechromed, the grill is very good original. The moldings down the side, emblems, bowtie mirror, all the stainless around the windows, door handles look new. In back the bumper is rechromed, tail lights and trim are excellent. No antenna, it's a radio delete. All of the glass is crystal clear. Has a muscle car stance. Bigger tires in back on a new, vintage style Torque Thrust wheels.
INTERIOR: Inside the car is pristine from the carpet to the headliner. I'm looking at a spotless, sparkling dash area. The chrome bezels, lenses, dash pad, steering wheel, knobs are mint. The metal is painted glossy. Inside the glovebox looks new and has owner's manual. It has a factory in dash tachometer and aftermarket oil/temp gauges under the dash. It has the factory heater, radio and wiper delete plates. Down on the floor it has new carpet and what looks like a 4-speed shifter. Has original GM seatbelts front and back. It's actually upgraded with a 5-speed. Completely reupholstered, original type fabrics, seats feel firm. The headliner, visors and mirror look new. The cloth welting around the door jamb looks new. Even up under the dash is clean.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Completely restored and detailed like a factory 427. It is actually a 496 stroker motor. They started with a 454 block, has hi perf cast on the side of it. It was bored and stroked. They kept it looking stock with original manifolds, pulleys, chrome valve covers and dual snorkel air cleaner with 427 decals. It has reproduction hose clamps, reproduction spring clamp battery cables with a Delco battery topper. Everything is painted like new. Has hood insulation. All the components look new- alternator, master cylinder, wiring harness etc. It has an upgraded aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. It is so fresh and detailed, looks like it hasn't been started yet.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Giant trunk compartment has perfectly clean metal with a very neatly applied spatter finish paint. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are gloss white. Has new weather strip.
UNDERSIDE: Body off frame restored. The frame and chassis was apart, prepped and painted semi gloss black. The front end is rebuilt and detailed. New ball joints, bushings, springs and gas shocks. Rear suspension was gone through, has new adjustable panhard bar and shocks. Has swaybar front and back. Brakes were rebuilt. Lines, hoses and e-brake cables were replaced. Bottom of the motor is spotless, new starter. Upgraded to a Tremec 5-speed trans, new clutch and linkage. Has custom driveshaft and u-joints were replaced. 12 bolt rear end. New fuel system- tank, straps, lines and sending unit. It has a fat custom exhaust with x-pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. The floors look like they are dry, clean original metal painted satin black. Under this car is detailed, orderly and fresh.
Very cool, nostalgic, stripped down hot rod. The condition is outstanding. Needs nothing, ready to enjoy!
