1965 Chevrolet Nova 12372 Miles Tangelo/White Sedan 383 Stroker 400 Turbo Auto
1965 Chevrolet Nova Description
This 1965 Chevy II/Nova is work-of-art, designed and built around performance with class. The original Chevy II was powered by a 194ci straight 6. Our stunning, rotisserie restored (2018) Nova uses a different approach to performance. The 2-door post is now powered by one of Chevy's best small blocks – the 383ci stroker. This 383 has been carefully built to provide dependable street performance. Enhancements include: 10:1 pistons (pump gas), World Products cast iron heads, Edelbrock RPM single-plane intake, Holley 750cfm double pumper and hydraulic flat-tappet camshaft matched with roller rockers. Ignition comes from an MSD box, cooling is handled by an AFCO aluminum radiator and exhaust is routed through cool-running TCI coated tube headers to a free-flowing 2.5" exhaust. This combination produces 385bhp and 427lb/ft of torque. Every detail has been done to perfection. A 2,500rpm-stall converter drives the Turbo400 automatic and a 9" Ford limited-slip differential contains 3.64:1 gears. In order to handle this powertrain, the owner/builder incorporated a series of custom frame ties (2"x2" box steel) to strengthen the factory uni-body design – he basically fabricated a full frame under the car. A Heidts front sub-frame utilizes coil spring suspension, sway bar and manual rack/pinion steering. The rear suspension is 4-link coil-over shocks and braking is manual 4-wheel discs with a Wilwood dual-master cylinder. Period correct 15" American Racing alloys mount Cooper Cobra radials tucked neatly under a 'mini-tub' rear end. An Optima HD battery has been relocated to the trunk. With the chassis completed, the exterior of the Chevy II was professionally refinished in 'House of Colors' Tangelo/White. It is stunning, especially in sunlight. The fully customized, high-grade tan vinyl interior incorporates plush bucket seats, Vintage Air, a custom dash with GM NASCAR tach/Stewart Warner gauges and a Planet Audio PGR-35 AM/FM/Blue Tooth stereo. There were no factory option codes on Chevrolet's 1965 order form to build this amazing Nova – it is a one-of-a-kind machine that photos even don't do justice. This stunning Chevy II/Nova is going to make its new owner very proud. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
