Up for your bidding consideration is my 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. Being that last of the gen 1 Camaros and having the most distinct body lines of all gen 1s, it is easy to see why these cars continue to appreciate in value. The 1969 is a favorite of many, and that demand will never die. This particular car is an excellent condition driver that can be enjoyed and appreciated without having to spend 50 grand. First and foremost, this IS NOT a Z28! This car was born with a V8 and 4 speed manual trans and to the best of my knowledge rolled off the assembly line as a base model non ss car. Now that we have that out of the way, Ill do my best to describe the Camaro and will provide 100+ photos (recent and unedited) for your review.
The car is painted in a gloss black, which shows well, with black interior. The paint is in very good condition with no scratches or dings. Being a black car, flaws are easily noticed and this one doesn't have any that wouldn't easily buff or polish out. I would rate the paint at an 8.5 to 9 out of 10. The panels line up nicely with even gaps and no dents. The chrome looks good and wouldn't require any refinishing or replacing at all.The interior is like brand new and completely flawless with exception to a small hole in the driver side door panel that the previous owner made to put on a mirror (instead of just removing the panel). I intended to replace the door panel as they can be bought for as cheap as $75, a complete set of 4 panels can be found on ebay for under 150, however I enjoyed driving the car when I took it out and the panel never bothered me given how small of an area is affected.Other than that the interior is perfect, and looks brand new. No discoloration on seating, no carpet issues, tight headliner, no rips or burns. Everything on the car functions as it should with exception of the speedo isn't hooked up. Again, cheap easy fix that when driving the car never bothered me. Rockers and underbody are rust free and solid as is the truck. This is really a car you can jump in and enjoy without having to spend money on and have reliability. It isn't a 50k dollar show car, but its better than a " 10 footer " and turns heads everywhere.
The motor is a strong 350ci chevy backed by a Muncie 4 speed manual trans and 3.31 rear gear in the 10 bolt rear end. Power steering and brakes. The only thing ive considered doing to the car is adding the z28 emblem to the passenger front quarter, but was always a bit nervous to drill the holes. In my mind, that's the only thing this car needs. I am listing as a real NO RESERVE auction, and if the car doesn't sell prior to the auction close it willgo to the highest bidder. With that being said, I reserve the right to cancel the listing at any time given the vehicle sells outside of this auction.I am not a dealer, the car is sold where is andas is with no warranty expressed or implied. I would be morethan happy to meet with any potential bidders who would like to see and inspect the car in person.
SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY!!! Please, do not bid if you don't have the funds or permissionslips from your spouse. These auctions take time to set up, and do cost money! Ebay doesn't refund sellers when a buyerdoesn't pay. I kindly ask all bidders with under 10 feedback to contact me prior to bidding. Failure to do so will result inbeing blocked from the auction. International bidders are more than welcome, however I will not be able to assist is arranging shipping out of country but I will work with the shipping company you hire. That being said, shipping assistance is available to buyers in the lower 48. Any shipping I arrange will be at the expense of the buyer and is to be paid by the buyer to the shipper. I highly recommend Reliable Carriers, I have used them in the past and they treat the cars with care and are extremely professional. Feel free to call their canton Michigan location for a shipping quote, or email me your zip code and I will gladly obtain a quotefor you.
Thank you.......and GOOD LUCK!!! Auction is scheduled to end at5pm PDT or8pm Eastern time.
On May-29-16 at 08:16:27 PDT, seller added the following information:. This car has an 11a build code as seen on the trim tag. This indicates that the body was made during the first week of november in 1968. An early build date for the model year, and well before the implementation of the famous X codes! X coded cars did not appear until the 12b cars or cars built in the second week of December 1968. Being a pre x code car means it could have been born as a ss or z28 model, however without the original drivetrain its near impossible to determine just exactly what the car was built as. The vin dictates that it was born as a V8, and the 11a dictates that its an early build before the use of x codes on the 69 model year.
