1968 Chevrolet Corvette Description

For Sale is a Beautiful 1968 Chevy Corvette Convertible. Very nice driver! Car was painted last year in Candy Apple Red and it really "Pops" when the sun hits it! The motor runs great and is a little more aggressive than a stock 327. The interior is not torn or beat up. The dash and center console is nice, but is starting to show it's age. It could use a little freshening up as seen in pictures. The tires are in great shape with about 60-70% tread life left in them. It has disc brakes and stops good for a non-power brake car. The radiator was recently replaced with an aluminum radiator. The original one leaked and it made sense to put a more efficient radiator back in. The transmission shifts nicely and goes into all gears and reverse as it should. Clutch is smooth and doesn't slip. The motor numbers do not match. I'm not sure what this 327 came out of. The rear end is a POSI and works as it should. The windshield wiper motor is out as I am in the process of rebuilding it. I didn't want to just put in an over-the-counter unit, as that would hurt the value since it's not a stock appearing wiper assembly. I may or may not have that completed this week, but I'll try.
The car has an Awesome sound to it, but surprisingly just has a set of stock mufflers. It actually sounds better than some of my cars I have put aftermarket mufflers on. This Vette gets TONS of looks and thumbs-up wherever we drive it!
I was going to put on an original set of Corvette valve covers recently to make it a bit more "stock" appearing, but found that the person who rebuilt the motor used roller rockers, and the stock valve covers would not fit. The car could use a bit more detailing under the hood and there is a little buffing compound left here and there from the painter when he cut and buffed the car. It seems like when I think I have cleaned it all up, I step back and see another area to clean. Isn't that how old cars are (in general)? The paint turned out really nice, but is not a 10. It looks way better than a stock factory paint job, but if you look closely, there are a very few minor imperfections. I would say it's a 8.5 out of 10.
Both tops are included. The hard top and the soft top. The hard top needs some TLC to get the inner sail panels attached better. They are coming loose, but are in goodusablecondition.
