1969 Chevrolet C-10 Custom 4X4 Description

This absolutely dialed-in 1969 Chevy C-10 Custom 4x4 shortbed pickup is ready to go anywhere and tackle anything, but it's so pretty and beautifully finished that you may actually have second thoughts about taking it out on the trails. Oh, who am I kidding? This truck was BUILT to play in the dirt! With a killer white-on-blue metallic paint job, a comfortable interior, and a strong small-block V8 engine with great options, this vintage 4x4 truck the one to have if you're looking to turn heads.
Ultra-clean 4x4 pickups are none too easy to find these days, but finding one that has been as well-built as this one, enhancing both performance and reliability, is tougher even still. Finished in handsome, eye-appealing Blue Metallic paint and a white cab top, this is a massive machine that will never be able to slip under the radar and will always be the center of attention anywhere it goes. There's no reason to modify the bodywork, either, since the Action Line trucks are some of the best-looking commercial vehicles to ever come out of the GM styling studios. Square-jawed and muscular, it's like Superman rendered in sheetmetal, especially with that short bed and nice suspension lift. There's no sign of abuse or botched bodywork anywhere on the truck and while it was repainted a few years ago, it still looks really great today. With an impressive glossy shine and straight panel alignment, it's obvious that someone invested a lot of time in making it look right, and even though it's not a show truck, it's one of the nicer trucks you'll find at the car show, especially at this price point. It's ready to rock! The chrome and stainless is solid but does show some minor signs of age, as does the original front grille, but it's all in keeping with the stock Chevy look while letting the big tires and tall suspension do most of the talking. In the bed you'll find straight panels with a floor protected by a POR-15 style protective black enamel, and it's finished to a level that's ready to haul or show off at the car shows.
Open this truck's big doors and you'll find a comfortable interior that's a largely stock driver's environment, neatly freshened and ready to break in. An original style bench remains in place, wrapped in a two-tone cloth and vinyl seat cover with tooling that feels soft and wears like iron. Sturdy, low-maintenance rubber mats and thick, plush carpet protect the floor, which also helps with both noise and heat control and yes, if you've seen the factory vents in the dash you've probably guessed that this truck was equipped with factory A/C, although the components were removed during the restoration. Thankfully, a replacement or aftermarket unit could be installed and use the factory vents in the dash, which saves money on labor and parts and preserves the correct look. The Custom-spec door panels, white dash pad, and even the seat itself are terrific shape, an aftermarket Lecarra steering is mounted on a tilt column to provided more room and comfort for the driver, and the original gauges in the factory bezel ahead are in fantastic condition with crisp, clear markings. Tunes come via a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo system that has been fitted in the stock radio's slot, so you can bring the entertainment with you, and the entire cab feels bright and airy thanks to the big rear window out back.
A sturdy 5.0L V8 small block was built and installed expressly to power this heavy-duty 4x4, and features all the upgrades you'd expect from a powerplant built to handle a vintage truck of this size. A big Holley 4-barrel carburetor and a performance intake manifold supply the air and fuel, while long-tube headers dump into a throaty dual exhaust system with chambered mufflers that sound great exiting through the tips under the rear bumper. The engine has been dressed to look traditional, and wears black valve covers and an open-element air cleaner, which look great against the slick black inner fenders. Power steering and power front disc brakes make it a pleasure to wheel around despite its size, and are critical for off-road work. There's a lift kit on the suspension but it's nothing so extreme you can't drive this truck regularly, while also giving it an advantaged presence both on and off-road. In fact it's a surprisingly compliant ride, and with upgraded shocks and brakes, a smooth-shifting TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, and 2-speed transfer case, it's ready for anything you may throw at it. Both the front (10-bolt) and rear (12-bolt) axles are heavy-duty and the undercarriage is very solid and rust-free. The killer look of this vintage 4x4 is finished with oversized alloy wheels and rugged 33x12.5x15 off-road radials.
This is an extremely handsome truck with go-anywhere abilities that's either ready to get dirty on the trials, or show off on Main Street. A lot of money went into this one to get it this nice and reliable, and with awesome curb appeal and a competitive price point, it won't last long. Call today!
