1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Description

My 1967 Chevelle was originally sold by Wilson Motor Company in Lebanon Tennessee on June 24th, 1967. Ms. Mary A. Miller of Lebanon Tenn. originally purchased the Chevelle on that date for$3308.00and was the first owner. On May 25, 1968 Ms. Milller sold the Chevelle to Mr. and Mrs. Paris of Alexandria Tennessee. On March 21, 1969 Mr. W.C Whitfield purchased the car from Mr. and Mrs. Paris for $1613.58. Mr.Whitfield held the car until Aug. 31, 2002 when it was sold to a gentleman in Hartsville, Tennessee who completed the restoration of the Chevelle at that time.

I have copies of the original mso, bill of sale, title aps, registration forms, transfer of equity forms, and GMAC lienholder forms. I have copies of the subsequent title aps and registration forms from the original owner in1967 to when I purchased the vehicle.

I have aCertification letter from the Tennessee Department of Safety noting that the copies are "True and exact" photostatic copies of the original documentation. It is noted that the quality of the copies may be difficult to read or illegible. Most of the copies are easily legible and provide a great source of the history of this vehicle.

Up for sale is my beautiful and highly documented 67 Chevelle Super Sport. This is a true 138 car that received and full rotisserie restoration in the late 90'searly 2000's after which it was purchased.

The car spent many years in central Tennessee and from what I understand the previous owner spentseveal years gathering the NOS parts to complete the restoration of the Chevelle.

Now about the car. This car ishas a#'s matching 396 325 hp engine. From the trim tag this wasoriginally an automatic car so the Muncie 4 speed wasadded at some point and I don't have the informationon whyit was changed, but as you can see from the #'s at the end that it is a date coded 1967 tranny which is interesting nonetheless. This car has redline tires, T3 headlamps, 3.31 positraction, 12 bolt, spiral shocksand is absolutely gorgeous. This car has all gloss black frame rails and inner fender wells, as well as the engine compartment and suspension components, cross member, differential, etc. This car was purposely done this way during the restoration to give it a more show like appearance while maintaining the originality of the car. AM radio works fine and has a better speaker installed in the dashfor better sound quality if there is such a thing with AM radio. The 396 has a"3/4" cam and Flowmasters to give it that true muscle car sound. This was alldone during the restorationto make the car more interesting and fun to drive and show.I have changed absolutely nothing mechanical on the carand it is as it has been since it was completed in the 90's.

Exterior. The exterior of the car was originally painted the exact same color it is now during the restoration. It is a version of Deep Water Blue- base coat clear coat, with some metallic added for character. About 4 years ago the car was completely sanded and repainted by the previous owners body man and all gaps where checked and adjusted as necessary to get the car as straight as possible during the prep stage. PPG was called out and matched the paint to what was on the car previously before it was sanded down. It was kind of strange sanding down a show car and spending thousands of dollarsto get a 5%better result (and same color) but it was definitely worth it and the results speak for themselves.

The interior of the car has all black vinyl, buckets, center console, and everything is in as-new original condition.

The car drives just like you would expect and is a joy to cruise around in. Starts after sitting for a month just fine and turns heads everywhere it goes as you would expect. I'm an enthusiast I guess you would say. I've had several classics over the years and I have always held onto this one. Someone told me years ago that "If you sell it, you can't get another one like this" and that is one of the many reasons I have held onto this car.

If you have any questions about the Chevelle I'm happy to answer them. My name is Jeff and my number is 860-919-0605. I'll list the numbers on the Chevelle following. I'll also list the trim tag information for those who want to research that information. Thank you for looking at my car and have a great day!

I know I will be asked and I do not have the original build sheet for the car.

If you would like to see more and better pictures of the car please request and I will gladly email them.
