1966 Chevrolet Nova Station wagon Description

1966 California Custom Nova Station Wagon:

This 1966 Nova station wagon was hand crafted in Huntington Beach California, the hot bed of car culture. It has 12 major body modifications which include pinched front and rear bumpers, removed bumper bolts, custom billet grill, custom smoothed body moldings, removed door handles, removed outside mirrors, removed wipers, All bright work remaining has been mono toned gloss black, the gas cap has been relocated (under the LR rear tail light), leaned forward tail lights, removed front door vent glass, removed rear quarter glass, and custom window tint.

The chassis consists of a TCI front clip including inner wheel wells, tied frame rails and a custom built 4 bar rear suspension with front firestone bags and rear shockwaves. The 5 gallon tank for the air bags is mounted in the right rear quarter panel along with the Viair compressor, controlled by a Dakota digital control system. The valve assembly and battery are housed inside the left rear quarter panel. Wilwood polished 4 wheel power disc brakes supply the braking power.

Interior consists of Lexus 6 way front seats, custom console, and custom headliner all covered in ultra suede leather . Electric windows have been adding including the rear window. Carpeting is in rich German square weave wool with matching floor mats. All door panels and kick panels were custom fabricated, and the rear cargo area is covered in ultra-suede leather with metal accents. All interior lighting is LED. The dash is Dakota Digital, and the stereo is Pioneer with blue tooth and Tune Trapper antenna. A vintage A/C unit and Lokar shifter round out the interior.

The lazar straight body includes a fiberglass cowl hood by Glasstek that is finished inside and out to show standards. The black paint is exquisitely done to show standards also.

The drivetrain is a 327 small block Chevy with aluminum heads and a mild 9.5 compression ratio, Edelbrock Endurashine intake and MSD fuel injection. The transmission is a 700R4 with lockup convertor controlled by a switch under the dash for on the road economy. The rear is a 9” Currie unit with posi and highway friendly gears. Soft blue LEDS light the engine at night, and yet nobody would know unless you triggered the switch. Turn signals are mounted inside the headlights and hidden LED daytime running lights are inside the grills of the front bumper as parking lights.

The car comes with your choice of either the Billet Specialties wheels with BFG Comp T/A tires or the 17” Wheel Vintique steelies with General G-Max-AS tires and new reproduction dog dishes, take your choice, or a deal may be struck to include both sets.
