1966 Chevelle SS 396 4 speed with RARE 360hp engine. Car was frame off restored approximately 16 years' ago by the original owner and has been driven 3,400 miles since completion. The floors show signs of complete replacement and I believe the quarters to be original but I am not an expert so ask for any photos required. The paint is what I would call better than driver quality however, it does have some chips on the corner of one of the doors and on the front hood, as well as a few minor scuffs that could probably be cut polished out. The car has been driven but still shows well but could use a minor refresh to bring it to the next level (wheel well detailing, frame detailing, engine bay detailing and some paint touch up and buffing). A few Chevelle experts from Chevelle Forum (huge help) have pointed out that during the restoration the front portion below the grill should be painted silver and that the rear emblems should be placed further back along the rear quarter panel. The car has no major leaks, starts and drives without any problems and does not go through any oil. I unfortunately do not have the full picture history of the frame off restoration but understand that the engine was completely rebuilt and that the odometer was re-set to zero at the time of the restoration. The interior is is good condition but the floor mats could be replaced, the dash pad needs replacing and the aluminum radio surround needs replacing, as does the door arm rests however, I have all of the replacement parts ready to be installed that will go with the car. The car was ordered with thegauge package but the tachometer is not yet installed and I have one in a box ready to install. Car was ordered with power steering and manual brakes and the original 3.73 posi. Aftermarket radio installed but original radio is in the trunk and I have not tested it. Original hubcaps but they could use a restoration to be perfect.
The engine and drive-train is all original numbers matching and date code correct and car remains the original color of Lemonwood Yellow. I have all of the numbers and date codes and can send them to you upon request - original carb, intake, heads, block, rear end, transmission and alternator! I have the full history including every title since new - this is a real deal 138 car with FULL HISTORY. The car was ordered by the original owner's mom when he was 16 and then later transferred into his name. Older frame off restoration by the original owner approximately 16 years ago and unfortunately, he passed away before completing the restoration. The car was then completed by the wife through a friend and sold via Mecum auction and bought by the second owner who lived in Arizona and owned it for 10 years and then the car was bought by me. This is a US Chevelle and easy to bring back to the US and I will assist with shipping as best as possible.
This is a high dollar car once gone through and brought to the next level and will not take much to get it there. Please do not send offers unless you are serious. I want to sell the car but am not desperate. Please have funds together before making offers.
I can be reached via text or call at 778 288 4649 IF you are serious and have questions. I am on the West coast so if you are out East, likely 3 hours ahead of me.
I have tried to describe the car to the best of my knowledge and there are no implied warranties that go along with sale and you are buying the car "as is". Having said that, I am happy to answer any questions, take any photos or videos requested to make sure you are 100% satisfied with the condition of the car.
