1965 Chevy Corvair Corsa 4 speed rust free survivor
1965 Chevrolet Corvair Description
1965 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa 4 speed 140 H/P 4 carburetors with 76000 original miles. Hand written diary of maintenance from 1734 miles. This is a rust free survivor originally from Milpitas California. Many options like full gauge instrumentation, tachometer, clock, fold down rear seat, 4 way flashers. This car runs drives and stops very well. It is a lot of fun to drive and is very peppy for a classic 6 cylinder. This is a very solid car no rust or rot anywhere please see all pictures of the floor pans and rockers. No major oil leaks. New tires 15 inch rear and 14 inch front mounted on Chevy Rally Wheels but I also have the original 13 inch steel wheels and hub caps. New battery, regulator and electric fuel pump. This car was in storage from 2002 until last year. To be perfect it will need restoration or drive it the way it is and have fun. The interior is fair but complete, all original door panels carpet and rear seat. Front seats have been replaced with 1966 seats but the base and springs are the same and could be recovered with 65 seat covers. The fuel gauge, oil pressure, and temp gauge do not work. The tach, speedo, manifold pressure and clock do work. I have more details if you want to contact me by phone or text Thanks Tony.
On Aug-21-20 at 03:30:40 PDT, seller added the following information:It has been brought to my attention that this car has some unexplainable items such as the relocation of the VIN plate and the fact that there are many 1966 components on it. I am currently researching this with the original owners family and with the Corsa Club. I do not believe it to be foul play as the VIN tag was relocated about 4 inches away from the original location. Obviously to be obvious but I don't know why? Also the VIN build sequence is 246321 and according to what I have found out so far there were only 235528 to 237056 cars built that year. The car was originally from California so I have no idea if there was some type of reassignment? Or if it was a very late production car that fell into a reassignment at the factory? I am trying to get to the bottom of this. Sorry for the confusion.
