Just out of long time storage... this 47 Buick " Aero Sedan" is similar to the 47 Chevy Fastback that I built back in 1956 that is on the website http://www.forgottenfiberglass.com/about-us/dave-perry-school-restorations/ Offered for sale before we start on it this Fall ... THIS old hot rod is a VERY SOLID car that will be appreciated whether it is Street Rodded again or "Restored".. This is VERY Solid example of these popular Fat Fender fastbacks, and I am sure you will not be disappointed in it's restorable condition.
Located in North Alabama, off I-65, half way between Birmingham and Huntsville, this Southern Solid car has just a few very small areas in rocker area, and very minor couple of small areas in floors. All the fender arches are clean and have no paint bubbling, etc. The fender seam welts also are in remarkably good condition, with no paint bubbling due to rust. Just pulled out of long storage, this was a hot rod from years ago. I was told that it is on a late model Cadillac chassis, it has coil spring rear and DISC BRAKES up front. Some modifcations to fit it are are evident underneath. There is no engine, no front bumper, and no instruments/guages, etc. As SOLID as any pre 50's car that we have ever seen, it has most of the trim, etc in the trunk. One look at the pictures of the Leopard tapestries on the front and rear seats will give you an idea of how long ago this hot rod was built. It is still in the old hot rod primer and I have taken some wet pictures so you can see how straight the body is, and good it can look if it is clear-coated. Door gaps are very good, and the DOORS DO NOT SAG. ...........MORE PICTURES AVAILABLE.. showing couple of minor dings which are marked in the pictures, as well as the very few small rust spots that are also marked if you appreciate working on SOLID cars..... you will be pleased with this car.
Like MANY States, Alabama is a non-Title State for vehicles this age. A Notarized Bill of Sale and DMV VIN Inspection Form is included, which is what most States require to issue a new Title.
