"Lazarus: Raised from the Grave" I named my truck Lazarus because it truly rose from the grave. In near Biblical terms, it rose from the dead. Here’s what happened: The paint and body shop owner I was referred to turned out to be a Texas Bad Man, an outlaw that had “served time several times” disguised as reputable. Wanted everything paid in cash. I said okay because I kept a record of all payments. Six months and $6,300 later, in the dead of winter, I found my truck in pieces out in the elements behind his shop. Frame, cab, bed, fenders, original motor, everything! When I went to get my truck, he made up another story: that I owed him $300 additional money if I wanted to get my truck back. No way! We put all its pieces in a trailer and brought them home. At that point I did not know if I could afford to move forward again. But, after some time, I handed Lazarus over to one of the finest paint and body shop guys in Dallas-FortWorth. It took 3 ½ years to complete the total frame-off restoration. With a little help from Above,Lazarusrose from the grave!
I am selling Lazarus because it has spent most its life under its truck cover. It has won multiple Bests of Show trophies and awards, but I have not been able to drive it often so I would like to find it a good home where it will be enjoyed. There have been no issues with it. Over the top frame-off restoration with attention to detail in every single component to better than new. Only 2,900 miles on this show quality custom built 1964 Chevrolet Custom Cab C-10 Short Bed Fleetside truck. It is gorgeous to look at and wonderful to drive. Combined with a great color combination and luxurious interior, Lazarus makes for a slick cruiser that can also take-home trophies or cruise cross-country equally well.
