1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Bought From Original Family Owner Runs & Drives
1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Description
1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 4 dr. Sedan purchased from the family of the original owner. Since then there has been much work done including replacing/welding both right and left inner and outer fender eyebrow, replacing all needed floor pan sheet metal . You can see the repairs in the photos. The Danchuk front pan was MIG welded in after cutting out old metal. The front and back now has solid floors. The inner and outer rockers were replaced with new rocker sheet metal. The rear portion of the trunk pan& lip was also replaced with a one piece Danchuk panel. A brand new gas tank was installed replacing the old one. The old gas tank didn't leak but I thought it best to put a new one in and avoid any problems. The car has its original paint and seat upholstery but is in need of a complete upholstery replacement and paint job. The dash is original and uncut. The car is powered by the original 235 cubic inch six cylinder motor with the original three speed manual transmission. The clutch and pressure plate has very few miles since replacement. The brakes work well and have not many miles on them. A compression check was performed on the engine last week and the compression checks were good with a reading of #1 cylinder 120, #2 cylinder 120,#3 cylinder 115, #4 cylinder 120,#5 cylinder 120 and #6 cylinder 115. The car starts right up and runs smoothly. The light, horn and wiring will need some troubleshooting attention as they don't all work. The car runs and drives and steers well and stops as it should. The tires are shot and should be replaced with new ones if the car would be driven much. As I stated before the interior is original but torn and tired and needs to be replaced. The glass is all there but the right front window is broken and the windshield has cracks and chips. The original radio is in the car. This car would make an excellent drive and restoration project which you could fix up over time and drive while doing so. I have a total of six original hubcaps and the original jack which goes with the car. The engine bay has been cleaned up and it has a new battery. The successful buyer will need to make a deposit of $500 through PAYPAL within 24 hours of the conclusion of the auction. The balance of payment is due within 7 calendar days of the completion of the auction which can be done with cashiers check, wire transfer of cash. Funds must clear before the car is removed from it location in Boise, Idaho. removal transport of the car is the Buyers responsibility . The car comes with a clean Idaho title.I will assist the transporter if the car is shipped. The car is used and is purchased WITHOUT WARRANTY EITHER EXPRESSED or IMPLIED. I have a 100% EBAY rating and I appreciate your looking and bidding on the car.
