1975 Chevrolet Vega Description

Due to the number of lowball offers I've received I'm no longer accepting offers so please don't ask. This is 1975 Chevy Vega Ex Race Car. There are some scratches and dings typical for a car of this type. Comes with spare engine (Long Block) - 406 SBC and two sets of AJE front tubular A-Arms. One set for use with coil springs and one set for use with Coil-Over springs.Due to extensive modifications to the car, it may not be street legal in your state and is being sold as is, where is, with no warranty. I’ve had several questions about the streetability of the car. There is no simple answer to that question.

Can the car be driven on the street? Yes but keep in mind it's a race car. It doesn't have a heater, defroster or any ventilation system except the windows so if you are a not moving you are going to get hot. It doesn’t have much insulation so it can get noisy. The fuel cell and battery are in back of the car. If you get rear ended the fuel cell and battery will most likely rupture.

Will the engine overheat at a stoplight. I would say generally no. but it depends a lot on the outside temperature and how long and how many stop lights. The cramped engine compartment and the motor plates in the front of the engine reduce of the air flow in the engine compartment so while you are stopped the two electric fans don't provide a lot of airflow around the engine.
The rear suspension is a ladder bar style suspension which is designed to allow the rear end to move up and down. It is mostly used in drag racing applications where the car goes in a straight line on a flat surface. It has three attachment points on each side. One in the front where the ladder bar connects to the frame and two on the back that attach to brackets on the axle housing and it uses what is called a panhard rod (a diagonal brace) to keep the rear end centered. This type of rear suspension does not like uneven movement. It likes it when both sides move up or down the same distance at the same time. When this type of rear suspension experiences uneven movement it can cause suspension binding which can lead to bent or broken suspension parts. This type of suspension also does not like high side loads. With that said only you know how and where the car would be driven.
