modern classic Chevy automatic fuel injection SBC
1992 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Description
A low-mileage well-preserved 1992 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is already a tantalizing idea at this affordable price. But then when you see that this is loaded with everything you want, including an A/C interior, a cool factory color, and the big fuel-injected V8, then you realize how irresistible this one really is.
Medium Quasar Blue Metallic is a color we don't see too often. So not only is it nice that this factory-correct color is looking bright, but we even believe it to be original application from the factory. It gives this well-preserved coupe extra distinction, and that's the point of owning a '92. After all, this was both the final year for the legendary 3rd generation and the 25th anniversary of the Camaro. These Z/28s were the top-of-the line, and they really represented the king of the hill nicely. Sharp-edge styling, dual power bulges in the hood, ground effects, and the large rear spoiler give this a terrific presence. Of course, the one option you absolutely had to have with these cars was the distinctive 16-inch five-spoke wheels that still look great today. In fact, since this one has only averaged around 2,500 miles annually, you know every time it left the garage, it was only for careful motoring.
When you look inside, you know this Camaro's distinctiveness goes far beyond the 25th Anniversary badge on the dash. You can tell by the condition of the leather seats, matching side panels, and plush carpeting that there has been great care in this car's lifetime. Like any good Z/28, this one came loaded right out of the box, including a power driver's seat, power windows, tilt steering, cruise control, and cold-blowing air conditioning. Having a modern classic like this means you even get a factory airbag in the steering wheel.
Under the hood is where this Camaro becomes even more desirable. It has the optional L98, 350 cubic-inch, fuel-injected V8 that was shared with the Corvette. This was the true performance powerplant from Chevy at the time, and it's one of the first things people look for in collectability. So it's great that this is also believed to be the original motor, and it looks clean and complete, right down to the factory decals. This V8 could only be mated to the stout 700R4 four-speed automatic because the motor made too much power for GM's five-speed manual of the day. The overdrive transmission also makes this coupe the perfect cruiser, when paired with the power steering, sports suspension, and four-wheel power disc brakes.
This is a terrifically preserved presentation of a loaded and important Camaro. So at this affordable price, you need to hurry. Call now!
