1957 Chevrolet Nomad Description

This is a 1957 Chevrolet Nomad Pontiac Safari. Most people have no idea that the Pontiac Safari existed as there was only 1292 of them produced, opposed to the Nomad where production numbers topped approximately 6000 for 1957.
This is a frame off, nut, and bolt restoration Safari and she wears her original trim and bumpers that have been polished or rechromed. The car has been owned by the same family for just over 24 years and is a California car. This Safari has been brought up to modern standards but also maintains its classic heritage and look. Improvements include 4 wheel disc brakes with electric master cylinder, modern ignition system on an improved Pontiac 389 with clean great sounding dual exhaust, electric parking brake, air conditioning, digital upgraded wonderbar radio, electric windshield wipers, full sound deadening, undercoating insulation, power windows, full leather interior and the list goes on and on. In this build only top quality products were used and we strived to use only things made in the USA. Packaging was also a priority and it shows with the hidden AC lines, custom center console, visible wires through the door jamb were eliminated. The American Racing wheel and Mickey Thompson tire package was carefully thought out to provide for safety, comfort, looks and to allow the 4 wheel disc set up to be seen.
