Classic vintage rotisserie restored Bel Air
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Description
This seriously slick 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air has been restored for those who love classic style but also true drivers. Everything from the paint to the A/C interior looks vintage but with a modern twist. And don't forget to check out the strong V8, upgraded suspension, overdrive transmission, and four-wheel discs that makes this a terrific anytime machine.
This is the exact kind of car you've imagined cruising the streets in when you had the time/money to really build one right. The two-tone copper and white are the correct color combo, but it's done in an interesting way. The copper is a metallic formula borrows from Mercedes, and the Pearl White is from the Lexus palette. So it's vintage style with a deep shine from a true premium upgrade. A great total presentation also means awesome brightwork, and let's face it, that's what makes the '57 Chevy such a legend. It was all replaced during the 2007 comprehensive restoration, and it has been treated with quality care ever since. That's why it's exceptional on the full-length trim with fan-style rear, dual bullet-style hood ornaments, and gold anodized pieces that told the world you had the top Bel Air. Plus, the full bumper/grille combo is a 10,000-watt smiling icon all on its own. While those polished 17-inch Boyd Coddington alloys fit in with the brightwork, they also signal more upgrades beneath the skin.
Just like the exterior, the interior has vintage appeal with plenty of investment in the right upgrades. It starts with the seats. The beige with coated fabric black inserts is correct, right down to the button-top trim. But everything feels far fresher than 1957. And not only do the door panels match, but also the hint of copper in the black inserts lets these pieces coordinate with the dash and carpeting for a full uniform presentation. There are great vintage details, including the thin/grippy steering wheel and the bright dash with working Wonderbar AM/FM radio. But this one also wants to be a great driver for modern time. That's why you have Dynamat insulation under the carpeting, and the air conditioning is blowing cold with modern R134a refrigerant.
The dark black engine bay has a ton of polished pieces radiating from within. So while we know you'll love lifting the hood at car show just to let the sunlight in, there's also a ton of substance behind the tidy style. Tri-Five Chevys are great for small block power, but this is a whole different animal. It's a 350 cubic-inch block bored .30 over to 355ci total. It was then enhanced further with a full Edelbrock suite that includes aluminum heads, chrome intake, four-barrel carburetor, and Performer EPS cam. It's a mighty motor, and it exhales with added power and authority as Hooker long tube headers feed an x-pipe dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers. This is even supported by the right components, like an HEI ignition, Optima red top battery, and a Griffin aluminum radiator with electric fans. So this sounds like the ideal package to hit the road, right? That's why you also have a 700R4 transmission that's both stout to handle the power and provides easy overdrive cruising. There are more great upgrades, like an Eaton Positraction rear end, Hotchkis sway bars front & rear, QA1 coilovers, and Wilwood four-wheel power disc brakes w/drilled & slotted rotors.
The sale comes complete with a restoration photo book, service manuals and build receipts. Here's the hit of every cruise-in that's also reliable enough to take on the Power Tour. It's the kind of Bel Air that you've always wanted, and if you're quick enough, your reward is ready. Call today!!!
