Classic vintage Chevelle Convertible LS Vortech engine
1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Restomod Description
This 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Restomod represents the best of everything you really want. It's a low mileage build with a well-done blackout look of a mean Super Sport tribute. There's a fuel-injected LS V8 to give it proper modern power. You also get great features like air conditioning and an overdrive transmission. There's even some terrific history here, considering this is the last year for the Chevelle drop-top ever. So yes, there's a ton to love in this all-around package.
The black has a great sinister look you want on a car like this. It's part of a more recent upgrade that gives the black a nice hard shine. Plus, the blackout grille, blackout turn signals, Super Sport badging, wide exhaust tips, and cowl hood all give this plenty of attitude. So it really looks like this has earned the white racing stripes painted on top. And the chrome bumpers have a big shine that remind us why we love a Chevelle like this in the first place. It was the final year for this generation, and we would never again get a car with chrome kings that hug the form like this. And the US Mags wheels are the perfect addition to this total package. They carry a nice polish and a darkness to go with the main parts of this car, and their 20-inch size make sure people respect this Chevelle for more than just its classic credentials.
The black roof fits snug against the car, and with the flip of a switch, it powers down to reveal a full black interior. So the exterior, interior, and top make this an ultra-desirable triple-black total package. Chevelles have the size that makes them easy to share with family and friends. So this one does it especially well with a newer Vintage Air A/C system that can make this convertible comfortable even in the summertime. Plus, while purists will love the AM radio that's on display, there's also a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner that comes with the sale. But while that's for everyone, there are some features that are really just about making this a better driver. That's why you have bucket seats up front, a center console in-between, the horseshoe floor shifter, classic-style Chevy three-spoke sports steering wheel, and a the upgraded U14 round gauge panel.
Filling the engine bay is a modern fuel-injected 5.3-liter Vortec V8. This powerhouse was dressed nicely as it takes some modern LS badging and mixes it with the classic Chevelle cowl induction badges. Plus, they added substance with a dual air intake, 92mm throttle body, and headers feeding the sweet-sounding dual exhaust. The 4l60e four-speed transmission was built to pair with this upgraded motor, and so you have good ratios and overdrive comfort. And there are more nice anytime driving features, like power steering, power brakes w/front discs, and the extra grip that comes from modern performance tires.
There's less than 1k miles on this awesome build. It proves to be a rare and interesting convertible that has been prepared to be a lot of fun. So don't miss this total package restomod. Call today!!!
