1957 Chevy Belair Project car
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Description
Hereis a very nice project car, that has had a frame off restoration started. All the hard and dirty work has been done. I was building this car for myself. It was going to be a big block with a four speed. There is a 3:55 "P" case posi, traction bars and a shock bar has been installed. There were a few small holes in the floorsthat I welded and finished to look original from top and bottom. There were no floor pans put in. I did put a one piece trunk floor in and it looks factory original. Has new tail pan and a few repairs on the rockers. All the floor braces and inner rockers are excellent. While the body was off the frame I rolled a thin coat of undercoating on the underside. It was not put on to hide anything and all the detail of the floor is visible. The frame was sand blasted, painted semi gloss black. New rear springs and bushings. All new front suspension with big block springs and new upper control arms with 5 degrees camber built in for better handling. Has new brake lines and fuel line. Has new power discbrake kit. The body was stripped to bare metal and sprayed with epoxy primer. The quarters are original and do need minor work but do not need to bereplaced. The doors are very nice but are dented and need new skins with I have and are included. The fenders were rusty at the bottom and have metal patches welded in but not finished off. The inner fenders are nice. When I bought the car it was already disassembled and most of the parts were missing. I do have the stainless pieces for around the sidewindows and windshield. The only interior I have is the rear seat andthe interior garnish mouldings. The only parts I have are shown in the pictures The VIN tagand cowl tag are on the car and I have a clear title in my name.If you are looking for a very solidproject, with no rust, this may be thecar for you. I need a $300.00 deposit thru PayPal within 24 hours and the balance in cashdue at pickup.
