This 1955 Chevrolet 3100 is what you get when you combine a big budget with a passion to create an unforgettable custom pickup. With slick modern paint, full custom interior, upgraded suspension, and a unique performance 366 big block V8, this is the kind of package that will keep you bragging for years to come.
Take a moment to understand what kind of effort goes into looking this stunning. The high gloss Midnight Blue metallic custom paint has so much clearcoat that it instantly highlights the softly rounded curves of the now iconic Task Force design. An investment in glass-like paintwork means a more modern appearance with shaved door handles and painted bumpers that now hug the bodywork. Still, there's room for brightwork, but now it's used to highlight cool features like the grille, custom taillights, and those large staggered-size Colorado Customs alloy wheels. The amazing paintwork also means you would be able to instantly tell if one of these panels was out of line. This commitment to detail is amazing on any vehicle, but it's a miracle to be able to so this with a pickup that probably spent decades as a workman. Today, we don't recommend you take this truck on hardware store runs anymore, because that beautiful real wood truck bed should only be used to haul home your trophies.
Inside this looks more like a sports car than a vintage pickup. It starts with the leather bucket seats and center console in-between oh yes, this is far more comfortable than any classic pickup you've seen before. The white with blue suede on the seats flows across the door panels so that it can meet up with the dash that's painted in the coordinating exterior blue for a total uniform package appearance. You sit behind a cool leather and chrome steering wheel, and gaze at a full Dakota Digital gauge package that glows in a complementing blue. This pickup comes loaded with features, including power windows, tilt wheel, and ice-cold air conditioning. The powerful Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo system fully connects the pickup for modern features like Bluetooth, USB, and satellite navigation. Best of all, while you have the desirable wraparound rear window in this Chevy, your rear visibility is further enhanced with a backup camera.
Under the hood is a very cool motor. It looks show-ready with expensive shiny components (valve covers, air cleaner, pulleys, etc.) against the painted fenders and firewall. Plus, the tidy belts, wires, and hoses really show a nice attention to detail. But beyond the flash is some real substance. This is a 366 cubic-inch big block motor. You might not be as familiar with the displacement, because this was often reserved for commercial grade work in the General Motors family. This strong and powerful V8 base has been enhanced with performance features like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Weiand intake. It makes for quite an intense rumble out of the glasspack-style dual exhaust. And more than just a performance motor, there's plenty backing it up with an enhanced A-arm independent suspension in front and a four-link coilover rear. You've probably already spotted the massive 255/45/R20 BF Goodrich gForce rear tires that are great for hooking up with the pavement, but did you also know you get great control over this power package with slotted four-wheel disc brakes? As much as this seems like a pure power package, there is much more here, too. After all, an upgraded suspension and brakes make for great cruising. Plus, add in power steering and a four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, and this is the perfect anytime pickup.
You know the level of award-worthy a custom built is when the frame is painted to match, and even the shocks are color-coordinated. Yes, it's a custom build that's ready for the show lawn this weekend. So do you want to compete against this Chevy or do you want to win with it? Call today!!!
