Hard to find these trucks in this condition anymore, I bought it to do a complete build but can’t bring myself to pull it apart. Gets more honks, thumbs ups and “what year is that?!” comments than anything I’ve owned. It’s a very happy dependable truck and just makes you smile.

CNP suffix indicates manufactured in 1970, 350CI, 4 speed Police, 300hp, 2 barrel for Caprice, Bel Air or Kingswood. These are a desirable and stout motor.

Had the carb rebuilt by Carburetor Repair in Redondo Beach and it runs mint. No noises, ticks, knocks etc.

Pretty sure it has a mild cam, pulls hard and has a lope at idle (see video)

Maybe one or two drops of oil after 6 months of sitting and starts straight away even though battery is hooked up with no trickle charger.

Could use a new clutch in the next decade but drives fine as is.

Previous owner did the fuel pump, master cylinder and battery.

Very very solid body, slight rust around in usual places (please see photos)

Doors shut really nicely and don’t rattle.

Drip rails nearly perfect.

I’m fairly certain the original color was forrest green and it had a spray in brown a few decades ago, the green is coming through and it makes for an awesome patina.

Steps have a coupe small holes which are barely noticeable (not obvious in photos).

One of the straightest boxes I have ever seen.

Original wood bed which is probably the most complimented part of the truck besides the 8-track.

Has the original spare tire.

The 8-track is awesome, everyone loses their mind when they see it. There are speakers behind the seat, comes with the following original cartridges which are actually worth decent money:

Door glass is there and they go up and down.

One vent glass is missing, I have a spare to go with it.

Original factory rubber mats and insulation! Very rare to see

Original heater box.

All the lights and horn work including indicators.

None of the dash cluster works, never tried to hook anything up. Aftermarket oil pressure and temp under dash work. At temp it has 20-25lbs at idle and 40+ when cruising. Never overheats.

With the 300hp 70’s cop motor, 8-track, Dimond stitched interior and the best bumper sticker I have ever seen it’s a national treasure. I used to drive it 2-3 times a week to run errands and bar hop but it has been sitting for a while as I picked up another project I’ve torn into.

Clear CA title in my name.

Original VIN tag never removed.

Sold as is where is.
