1968 Chevrolet El Camino Custom Description

Please note the first 6 photos are the current state of the elco. Later photos were when I first opened my wallet. 11 Years ago. Just want to be clear. This is what the car can be or whatever you want it to be.
It has a great soul........and not ever wrecked (frame is clean), but battered in its life as a working truck.

1968 Chevrolet El Camino. Condition is "Needs TLC". I have had this car for a long time. Has been in family forever. Originally ordered a 327 car with 3 on the tree. Used by a family member that was a painting contractor. Which was used that way for ever. Like 400,000 miles or something. A California car to start with that originated from Ojai. I have many spare parts for this car as well.Dash cover, and lower stainless trim comes with the car but the rest of the GM parts are negotiable. OEM GM trim rings, center caps (not the junk re-pops) dash cover amongst other things.
THE GOODLots of cash was spent on these items and only driven around 3600 miles odo was reset at that time, pretty much everything was replaced or renewed. Tremec 5sp, Hotchkis sway bars, lowering springs, poly bushings, 4 wheel disc brakes with hydro boost, air bags in rear, completely rebuilt 12 bolt posi rearend, new MSD ignition on a stroked 350/383, new radiator/elec fan. I can go on and on but it does not help my feelings. New HD clutch and much of everything as we muscle car heads do. When driven car was stupendous. Handled sweet and hauled ass.
THE BAD, had a garbage paint job 7 years ago, body was rough then but all rust was taken care of by someone else, was running great 6 mos ago though the car has not been driven much in the past 5 years due to work travel and other family matters. I suggest the motor, though low miles be gone through. A lovely 383 4 bolt block, camel heads, with solid roller cam forged everything...you know. Needs some LOVE but is a great car to fix and drive as a later model rat rod or wrap it and make it cool. Someone with the time can make this a bad ass ride. IT NEEDS TO BE DRIVEN AND ENJOYED.....
AND THE UGLY, is I have to part with it, have too many cars and no place at the moment to store. Downsizing as we say it. I am really sorry I cannot get this elco where I want it now. Just dont have the time and too many other family heirlooms.
SADLY, AS THE SAYING GOES MY LOSS YOUR GAIN, IVE GOT PROB AT LEAST 30K IN THIS CAR OR MORE....but cant hold on.
