More detailed pictures of this vehicle are available upon request Overview The item currently for sale is our 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS with 82,000 original miles on the odometer...rare car find now available to the right buyer. This car comes with a factory equipped 350cid, TH350 automatic transmission, factory AC, 12 bolt differential (drum brakes), J50/J52 power brake option, power windows, tilt steering column, houndstooth interior car. This car has been in our family collection for over 40 years, stored away after hurricane Andrewin 1992 and now my father has decided to reduce the size of the collection so some of our camaro collection will be sent off to new happy homes. This car also comes with a free and clear State of Florida certificate of title. NOTE: I completely forgot to include the cowl tag pic in the gallery but it is now up for your reference. Quick recap on cowl tag: build date of last week of august (08D), 1968 Chevrolet Camaro V8 Coupe (68-12437), Norwood plant (NOR), black houndstooth interior trim (749), tuxedo black w/ black vinyl top (A2). In a nutshell! Exterior Vehicle exterior is very solid. There are some areas around the roof rails, driver rear floor and trunk pan that have some rust but the rest of the car is very strong. Fenders, quarters, rockers, rails and all the main areas of concern are solid. This car was painted and assembled in 1990, it is still extremely straight, doors and trunk close very nicely as it has been stored indoors for 28 years. All exterior moldings not on the car are there and come with the car...windshieldmolding set, rear glass molding set, etc. We have put everything the car needed to run after pulling from storage. We installed a new AC Delco battery, spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor, belts, rochester quadrajet (rebuilt original), fuel tank, sending unit, rear shocks, front 4 piston J52 brake calipers, front and rear pads/shoes, hoses, etc. The motor runs great, transmission shifts tightly, the car accelerates and brakes very nicely. I found a solid set of 14" rally wheelswith the proper offset for the car's front calipers and they've got a good set of pirellis on them. Exhaust is blown out before the muffler so its a little loud..lol.Althoughthis car needs restoration, it is one the most complete and finest vehicles in our fleet. Interior Upholstery wise, this car is stacked with lots of factory equipped options. It is outfitted in houndstooth upholstery, deluxe door panels, power window option, tilt steering column, SS steering wheel, tic toc tachometer, console gauges (consistent with SS package). Everything seems to work properly, windows go up and down, gauges are functional. There is no carpet as the car's interior was still under construction when it was stored after the hurricane. Conclusion In conclusion, I'm basically selling part of my inheritanceto the highest bidder and giving the money back to my dad. HA! In all seriousness, this car is a rare find in today's marketand definitely worthy of your consideration. If you have any questions or want to request additional pictures or info on the car, please do not hesitate to ask.Welcome Prospect Buyers! | ||
