1960 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 900 Coupe Description

ANY POTENTIAL BUYER WITH LESS THAN 10 POSITIVE FEEDBACK PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE BUYING OR I WILL CANCEL THE TRANSACTION. I HAVE RELISTED THIS CAR DUE TO SCAM ATTEMPT. Here's a cute and rare 1960 Chevy Corvair Monza 900 2 door coupe from Helena, Alabama needing some TLC all around depending on what you want, a fun driver or restored gem. Spent all but the last year down South, never in snow or salt. Just under 95,000 original documented miles. From 10 feet looks great but up close you can see it's an "Earl Scheib" paint job. Solid body with some floor work done due to leaking windshield gaskets (have been replaced with new ones). NO RUST in the inner rockers or front suspension cradle crossmember unit as well as the whole tunnel pan area. Runs fair (automatic choke not working, once it's warmed up runs pretty good), has new OEM 44FF AC Plugs, wires, under the cap stuff, 2 rebuilt by Wolf Enterprises carbs, a new exhaust system (aluminized from Clark's) tailpipe, muffler and crossover pipe all replaced within the last month. Trunk is pretty solid. New brakes, Master Cylinder, lines and hoses, a freshly refurbished like new gas tank and new sending unit. Front end nice and tight. Tires as new. Wipers, headlights, gauges, horn all work. Didn't fiddle too much with the non-working turn signals. Brake lights do work. Will be needing a starter solenoid soon as it just clicks now and then, have to repeat with the ignition switch to get starter to kick in. Some gas heater equipment is missing but have a box of things I got with the car. Has the correct jack and ratchet handle that are for the '60 only, not '61-'69. Many things about the '60 Corvair that is unique being the first year of production. I do have the rocker moldings. Fresh oil and transmission fluid and gaskets. Powerglide automatic transmission works fine. Nice red bucket seat interior (rear seat bottom is decent but out of another '60 however I have purchased a new red cover from Clark's to make it right). Carpeting is faded and needs replaced. No sign of mice or critters anywhere. No odd odors or smells. 2 extra radios with everything you need (except a speaker) to put one in including an NOS radio antenna in the box. Overall not far from a good driver with more potential. Needs a good Corvair mechanic to fix the leaks (O-Rings) and get her up and running right. Please feel free to ask any questions and observe the photos carefully as they are part of the description especially before purchasing as all sales are final, 60 year-old vehicle is being sold AS IS with no guarantees, returns or warranties. Prior inspection is both welcome and recommended. Title is clear Ohio title and in my name. Local pick up which is the responsibility of the buyer, we are located 15 miles east of Cleveland, Ohio with easy access from State Rt. 90. Car will have to be trailered or flat bedded, is not up to long trips. A $500 non-refundable Pay Pal deposit is due at time of purchase with the balance being due within 3 days via cash at pick-up or bank check which will have to clear before car, parts and title can be released. No Trades. I will accept full payment via Pay Pal as long as you pay any fees they charge, I believe it's 3%. The actual selling price will be stated on the title transfer. I reserve the right to end this listing at any time as it is for sale through other venues as well. Thanks much for looking!
