1985 Chevrolet Camaro IROC
1985 Chevrolet Camaro Description
Up for auction is a 1985 real RPO code B4Z t-top IROC, with a 440 hp to the rear wheels, LS1 upgrade! I do have a very reasonable reserve on it. This car is very fast and very fun!! According to the previous owner the LS1 was pulled from a 2004 Tahoe, and bored .30 over. It has a BTR cam with .660 lift, 7.400" 5/16 chromoly push rods, ported and polished heads, and headers that are currently open. He claims he had it on a dyno and it was putting 440 hp to the rear wheels. The transmission is a TH350 with a 650 hp kit. It also has a B&M ratchet shifter. Unfortunately, he did not provide any recipes or dyno sheets to confirm the hp and work done to it. He built the engine himself and planned on keeping the car, but with current economic downturn in his business he was forced to sell it. I bought the car strictly as an investment. I will say this, I have driven 2000's ZO6's and have owned a couple built big block Chevelles, and this car would run with, or possibly outrun all those cars! I purchased this car and drove it 50 miles home with absolutely no issues. The IROC has 4 wheel disc brakes with drilled rotors in the front.
PLEASE DO NOT THINK THAT SINCE THERE IS SNOW ON THE GROUND, THAT I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IT IN THE SNOW! There is absolutely no rust on this car! The floors and panels are are solid. There is a ding on the drivers front fender that was pulled out. The paint appears to be original, (except for the hood of course), and has a few scratches here and there, but definitely presentable. The upholstery is also original and does show some signs of wear, but also is presentable. The carpet is not the greatest, what looks like grease in the pictures, is actually wear in the carpet. The dash pad is cracked in a few places. Both electric windows work, but are slow. The only gauges hooked up right now are the gas and volt gauge. The headliner comes with the car but is not installed. The previous owner told me he was driving with the t-tops off, and the wind pulled the clips out. The heater and a/c box was removed to accommodate the LS1. The car rides on TSW 18" mags with 245/40/18 tires. The rear tires were put on new the day I bought it. The right rear wheel has a little curb rash on it. The stereo is a Sony, and it comes with two new in the box Sony 6x9 speakers.
This is a very fun reliable Gen 3 Camaro, that you really need to have a hold of when you pull the trigger!!
I will allow ample time for pickup, HOWEVER FULL AUCTION PRICE MUST BE PAID WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION ENDING. I also reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Thanks!
