I acquired this 1956 Chevy in 1980,then kept it in sunny Florida ever since.
I conducted a 100% totalFrame-Off Restorationin 1991 (Resto-Mod type).
I conducted aRestoration Upgraderecentlyin 2019-20 adding more technology.
The entire car and all painted parts were acid tank dipped and stripped.
There is no rust or bondo in this vehicle build, it is a solid steel car.

TheEXTERIORisrestored to original condition except for cool wheels & tires.
The entire car and all painted partswere professionally primed and painted.
Matador Red color, external is Lacquer and inside and under is Imron paint.

All new glass, seals, bolts, screws,washers, nuts, clips, shims, fuel tank and lines.
All chrome pieces are new or professionally re-chromed, re-buffed.
All stainless-steel molding pieces were professionally re-buffed.

New head & tail & backuplights, emblems, V’s, hood bird, grille, mirrors, antenna,
door locks, trunk lock, license plate bracket, brake lines.

TheINTERIORisrestored to mostly original condition except for these mods.
Power windows, Power Steering, PowerDisc Brakes, Air Conditioning, Tilt Steering Wheel, Stereo and Speakers, SunTach, Lokar gas, clutch, brake pedals, 5-speed shifter.

TheDRIVETRAINishigh performance muscle car-oriented yet car club cruise-able.
The engine is a GM Perf Parts crate motor HO 350 ci / 345 hp (i.e., thelegendary ZZZ).

The ZZZ PN 10134338 has 4-boltmains, aluminum cylinder heads (like the L98 Corvette engine), a Z28 high-risedual-plane aluminum intake manifold, hypereutectic 9.8:1 pistons, forged steelcrank and rods, and a single-pattern 235-degree hydraulic camshaft with0.480-inch lift. The ZZZ is rated at 345 hp (with 650 CFM carb) right out ofthe crate.Adding a750-CFM carb and an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake, and this enginemakes 370 hp with 410 ft-lb of torque. Adding the GM hydraulic roller Hot Camand this engine will produce 400 hp and on pump gas. Pretty cool.

The transmission is a Doug Nash / Richmond “STREET 5-SPEED”. (i.e., the 4 + 1)

Itis a “close ratio” in gears 1 - 4(3.27, 2.13, 1.57, 1.23), with 5thgearat 1:1. Itallows a lowerrear-end ratio of 3.08 and still have aclose ratio transmission capable ofaccelerating like a Muncie M21 with4.11 rear-end gears. The Street 5-Speed allowsenthusiasts to use a 3.08 rear-end in 5thgear for highwaycruising and still get the awesome close ratio 1 - 4 off the line accelerationof a M21/4.11 combo. This works great.

The rear-end is a 79 Camaro 10-bolt8.5” model.

Itis a restored “posi-traction” rear, with 3.08 gear that is an ideal match tothe above Doug Nash 5-speed. New wheel bearings, seals and complete new brakeparts.

MECHANICALenhancements belowwereadded to improve this 56 classic.

Allnew wiring harnesses, fuse panel, fuses, gauges, alternator conversion,starter, and trunk mounted battery.

Ahigh-performance Griffin polished aluminum cross-flow radiator system with A/Ccondenser & dual electric fans.

AClassic Performance Products (CPP) improved bolt-in 500 Series re-circulatingball Power Steering Box that features an improved steering operation andresponse, as well as a tighter turning radius overall feel without excessivesway.

A latemodel Ecklers Front Disc Brake kit. (rotor, caliper, pad, booster, mastercylinder and proportioning valve)

ARainGear electric windshield wiper system with intermittent and windshieldwasher features.

AVintage Air Gen IV air conditioning / heating system that for ice-cold air when needed ona hot day.
