1965 Chevrolet El Camino Description

Up for grabs is this sweet 65 El Camino. Great cruiser equipped with the original 327/300 small block that has only been driven 81000 miles and still runs like a champ! Atop the factory intake sits an Edelbrock 600 carb to help drivability. It's also been upgraded to an HEI distributor to eliminate those troublesome points. The clunky old power glide was replaced with a 700r4 overdrive tranny. That's been paired with a 3.08 rear gear to keep the revs down when hitting the highway. Everything was done to make this car a driver. A power disc brake conversion has been added up front to help stop much quicker than the factory drums. The factory AC has been gone through and converted to R134 to keep you comfy on those summer cruises. The interior retains its mostly stock appearance and is very nice. The seat has been covered with a matching cloth, so your passenger doesn't slide into you during spirited driving, and the aftermarket gauges are a tasteful addition that help you keep tabs on whats happening under the hood.Obviously the outside has been freshened up, including being repainted in the original Regal Red. Much of the exterior trim has either been replaced or was very nice to start with. This work was done several years ago, but still presents very well. The paint is what most would say is very nice driver quality. There are a couple of blemishes on the hood and one one the quarter panel that are smaller than a quarter, these appear to have been flaws in the prep work. This car came from Texas to Virginia, so rust isn't an issue. This car is a driver and has been enjoyed, so there are a few small rock chips here and there, but nothing that takes away form the head turning looks this thing possesses. Being dropped a few inches over 17 and 18 inch BG Rodder wheels gives this car a stance that people just cant ignore. The bed shows signs of being used as it was intended at some point in it's life, but a custom tonneau cover keeps that under wraps, so you can still throw your stuff in the back without worrying too much. This El Camino is a real head turner and a just a great cruiser. Is it perfect? Of course not, but it needs nothing to be enjoyed right away. Message me with any questions. I'll require a $500 deposit upon sale, and will accept cash, certified check, or wire transfer for the balance. The car is garaged and can be stored while shipping arrangements are made, and I'll be glad to work with the buyer to get it loaded on a truck if that's what is needed, but he car will not leave without full payment. Thanks for looking and good luck!
