Up for auction is this very nice '47 Chevy 2 door sedan. It has the original numbers matching straight 6 engine with only 45,334 miles! It starts and runs super, like a low mileage engine should. It starts easily, idles smooth, revs up good and runs cool. No smoking at start-up or anytime! I has the original 3 on the tree manual transmission, shifts smooth and no clutch chatter. The car rides smooth, steers straight and does not wander. It is really fun to cruise around in. The doors open & close nicely. There is no sagging when you open the doors.All the glass is in good shapeand all windows roll up and down nicely. The car has original upholstery in very nice condition. The back seat has a small hole in the center of the seat, that I believe could be patched. The headliner is in good shape. The door panels have some stains, but are in nice shape. The car has had one paint job and shines good, however, is not show quality, but very sharp and respectable. The underside of the doorsare like new - not even any surface rust. The rockers are in great shape too. The car has new WWW tires that are very sharp against the shiny black paint. It has the original hubcaps along with stainless trim(lots of it) that is all in great shape. The bumpers are original, but could use some re-chroming. It has a very nice shape chrome grill. The brakes stop the car, however, seem a little soft. The brake shoes look good and possibly need more adjusting. The lights and gauges work along with the wipers.
