1971 Chevy C10 (SWB): The most popular Chevrolet trucks with collectors are those built between 1967 and 1972. Several factors explain the collector popularity of these trucks. First, they're just damn good looking! To many, the lines of Chevy pickups in this styling series, particularly the 1969-1971 models, are a "classic" expression of what a pickup truck should look like. Second, with this series Chevrolet offered truly carlike interiors, complete with color-coordinated carpeting on the floor. Third, all power accessories once found only on cars were now available on light trucks. A pickup from this "Integrated Styling" series could be equipped with air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, AM/FM radio - virtually any accessory you could find on a car. Forth, and perhaps best of all, with Chevrolet's all-coil spring suspension, pickups of this series offered a ride as smooth as that of a Chevy Bel Air sedan. Fifth, as an added bonus, Chevrolet equipped its light trucks with a range of engines and transmission options that was nearly as wide as could be found in any of the company's car lines. Buyers could fit their truck out for miserly fuel economy with a faithful six and three-speed transmission, or as an interstate cruiser with a high-powered V-8 and automatic transmission.

This beautiful Chevy C10 Short Bed just received a high-end repaint in its original Chevy Ochre & White paint scheme. The previous owner had the truck running in tip-top shape and restored the interior in late 2014. They had completed the exterior in a weathered "patina" look with original bumpers, wood bed, trim, emblems, etc. We decided the truck needed to look as good as it ran so after a few thousand in new parts and several thousands in paint and labor, the finished result is remarkable! While apart, the original bed wood was re-platted, stained and sealed. To ensure the collectibility of this classic Chevrolet, we restored the truck to closely mirror the original Service Parts Identification Tag (SPID) that it still retains today in the inner glovebox door. As mentioned, the paint color scheme is original as are the engine, transmission, 3:73 rear-end, air conditioning, power steering, power disc brakes, steering wheel and factory Delco push-button AM/FM radio which are still present today. The interior also features a new houdstooth bench seat that compliments the paint scheme nicely.
