1964 Chevrolet Impala Biscayne Description

Here is my 64 Biscayne Station wagon.
It was restored a few years ago and still looks good and turns heads. Was originally a 6 cylinder 3 speed on the tree car. Now it has a stock low mileage 305 with brand new Edelbrock Carb and 350turbo transmission. The rear is geared kind of low. I've never checked exactly but it feels like at least a 4.11 ratio. Runs excellent and fires right up every time and the trans shifts exactly how it should. Very dependable driver. Sounds great. Has baffled single shot exhaust coming out before the rear wheel on the drivers side. The interior was redone with 64 SS bucket seats with original SS console and shifter. Looks like it came from the factory that way. How many wagons have you seen with bucket seats? New front floor pans. It has new carpet and headliner also. Interior looks great. rear seat folds down and makes a large cargo area for those tailgating parties. The car also has a trailer hitch for pulling your camper or boat or whatever. This is a nice cruiser and weekend cruise in ride that gets a lot of attention everywhere it goes. The only drawbacks to the car in my opinion is that it doesn't have AC or power steering and still has the original drum brakes. Other than that it is still easy and fun to drive. Paint is still good and shiny but not perfect. Has minor flaws here and there. Side chrome has been shaved for a cleaner look. Has new door weather stripping on all 4 doors. Wheels are stock 14" steelies with 8's in the rear and 6's up front with a nice mean stance. The car can use a few things of course but all in all it is a great classic wagon with some neat custom touches at a great price. You couldn't build one for what I'm asking for this one. Check Ebay. You won't find one of this quality for this price. Would look great in any driveway or garage. I would rather sell of course but may consider trades for a late 90's or newer Vette or a completed Fiero/Ferrari kit car or something interesting. I was planning on doing a 409 tribute car with the wagon if I keep it. I have a complete 348 engine that I will let go with the car if it hits the reserve price. It needs to be rebuilt but 100% of the machine work has already been done on the block. It was bored .040 over and new cam barrings and freeze plugs were installed. The crank was already great and was just polished. The heads look great but nothing has been done to them. It has a 4 barrel intake with a stock original carb and I'll throw in an original 3 deuces intake but it has no carbs with it. All this for free to the winning bidder.Contact me with any questions or trade offers and happy bidding.
