Handbuilt wooden car titled as 1934 Chevy SW (station wagon?). I bought it pretty much like this to fix and sell and never had the extra funds or time to do so. Front end was cobbled by original builder it came loose and they bent the front axle. Frame did not get damaged at all. Has torsion bars front and back for suspension, I thought of getting a drop tube kit from Speedway with the leaf spring to make things simple and proper. Few things I would change while I was at it. Rubber engine mounts would be nice and throttle is a little cobbled too. Lots of chrome. Thinking its a 350 with turbo 350 and guessing that Ford looking rear end is a 9". 4 wheel disc brakes. Some of this stuff looks like old sprint car parts. Frame is unique and almost dragster like. Wood body is definitely something you don't see every day. passengers side door is the only one that opens and the back is kind of big enough to set smaller kids in to throw candy in the parade or something. Mostly a show car I'm guessing. Steering wheel flips up to get your leg behind to get behind the wheel. Seat wasn't mounted very well and the guy I got it from blamed shipper for it being loose and knocked the weird square wood steering column loose from the floor. I thought a round one from a table would be cooler anyway and screw seat down good from underneath. I do have the front homemade grille and headlights stuff, but was too ugly for my liking. Wanted to go with a fiberglass T grille and have an airbrush artist make it look wood. rear fenders are fiberglass. I think their was some sort of old timey painting or airbrushing design on them. Needs cleaned, covered in dust in dark back corner of shop. Whatever was painted on is old skool custom tasteful anyway. I had it fired up and thought the carb seems dried out and needing a kit, the motor sounded healthy and I'm guessing has hardly no miles on it. Odometer reads zero, but I reached back and there was no cable on it yet. Cool older Stewart Warner gauges. My loss is your gain. Even if you don't like the wood body, for the price you can't get as far as this one starting from scratch, stick what you want on it. Thanks for looking and please check my other auctions
