1968 Camaro Numbers Matching 327
1968 Chevrolet Camaro Description
Super nice 68 base Camaro with matching numbers.
327 was 300hp. Rebuilt to original specs by racing machine shop. Correctly broken in and dynoed. Has double hump heads, dual exhaust, original Qjet carb. See dyno results. Puts out 339 Ft # of torque at 3,700 RPM (see excellent flat torque curve) and 292HP at 5,700 RPM. About 5 miles since rebuild. Distributor and coil upgraded to electronic to eliminate points issues. Has power steering, manual brakes and NO RUST. West coast car its entire life. Has original Powerglide A/T with console shifter.
Stunning medium blue paint (original color) with new black vinyl top (originally a vinyl top car). New carpet, new upholstery, new headliner, new door panels, new dash cover, new weather seals, new trunk seals, new windshield, new tires and wheels. Wheels are retro Legend Vision mags (17" front and 18" back with low profile tires). Sharp!
Body gaps and alignments are near perfect. Doors close firm and solid. Windows roll up and down smoothly. All original electrical works including original AM radio. No leaks. Gauges work. Temperature gauge added.
3rd owner of car. The original steering wheel is cracked on the rim and needs repaired or replaced. I did not want to install an aftermarket steering wheel. The A/T console is faded and needs replaced. Available on eBay used or many new sources available.
NADA guides shows 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Base model High Retail at $35,400 and Average Retail at $23,100. With the console and steering wheel replaced this is a high retail car based on NADA condition description.
