1979 Malibu Classic, ONE OWNER, 4.4liter V8, Automatic, power steering, power brakes, 73,000 original miles, garage kept, minor rust spots (see photos)
Yes, this is owned by a little old lady (my mom) who has owned it from new. She has decided to stop driving at age 92 and I am trying to sell this for her.
Here isthe low down... Engine runs well, but hasn't had the carbon blown out since she drove it less than 500 miles a year at slow speeds; brakes and power steering are good; Gas tank was replaced a few years back; AC has some (minor?) issues- speed switch works on low and medium, but not high- it blows cool air, but needs recharged- blows air to floor vents and defrost, but little to none from dash vents, possibly vacuum lines; steering wheel has had a cover on it for years, don't know exact condition, but is original; front bench seat has a cigarette burn on the driver side. (my dad was the smoker when he bought it, but quit around 1990)
NOTE: Someone notified me of a common problem for this car. The rear frame rail behind the tires has a tendency to rust. After inspection, I found the left rail to be in good condition, but the right rail may need some repair. See photos.Trying to put an honest description out there. Thanks to the person who brought this to my attention.
Great car to restore or part out.
