Up for auction is a 1954 Chevy 3100.
This truck is an excellent example of a period correct truck that drives better than new. Its spent most of its life in Arizona and it shows. It came up to the northeast in 2004, accumulating 4000 miles since that time but, has not seen a drop of rain or snow. There's not a spot of rust anywhere and with76000 original miles, this truck shows well.
It still retains its 235 6 cylinder engine which runs excellent. Doesn't burn a drop of oil, starts up instantly and runs excellent. It really is amazing how well this truck runs.
Its 6 volt electrical system is still intact and functions as it should. The transmission is a 3 speed on the column which is smooth and quiet. The shifter linkage was starting to show some signs of wear, in being proactive I decided to rebuild it.
It was painted over 10 years ago but looking at, you would think it was done yesterday. All the bright work is in perfect condition and doesn't need a thing. The wood bed also looks flawless.
As far as documentation goes, I have miscellaneous docs going back to the day it was new.
Everywhere I take it people are always commenting on how nice it looks, I don't think you'll find a nicer stock 54.
Please feel free to email me questions. It is for sale locally, so I do reserve the right to end the auction early.
Thanks for looking.
